Chapter XIII

Giyuu POV

"I am falling in love with her." I thought to myself as I dried off and changed into my uniform to go meet with Master Ubuyashiki, while the memories of what just happened in the pond replayed in your head. "I must take my time, and I must stay focused when it comes to my duties. She is right, I cannot live in fear anymore. I am a demon slayer, a Hashira, one who is fearless. I cannot let something as beautiful as love scare me away."

I thought about her soft skin, her beautiful hair, and her touching words as I walked to see the Master. He was sitting, looking away from the door like he normally did. I entered and bowed. "Master Ubuyashiki, I pray for your well being and good fortune." "My child, Giyuu, please come in." I walked closer to Ubuyashiki and waited for him to speak. "I'm sorry for interrupting your time with your precious (Y/ N), but we must speak about the 12 Kizuki."

Slightly embarrassed that the master knew what you and (Y/N) were doing, he continued. "You have defeated two Lower Moons within a matter of weeks. Thank you for your bravery, my child." "Of course, Master." you responded. "We must be closing in on some Upper Moons and perhaps Muzan himself. Promise me, you will not take (Y/N) on any Kizuki missions. I know she is special to you, and very strong herself, but let us leave the 12 for the Hashira." "Yes Master, as you wish." You took a sign of relief, this was great news.

"Please, go on about the rest of your day. It makes me happy that you have found love, Giyuu. How about you take some time, and take her to see her family, and maybe go introduce her to Urokodaki. You both deserve it."

"Yes sir, thank you for your kindness."

"Stay safe, my child." You bowed once more and then exited the Master's estate eager to take  (Y/N) out of Headquarters to see her family.

Your POV

You were making Giyuu's favorite dish to surprise him when he got back from speaking with Master Ubuyashiki. You knew it would make him really happy, since you figured he hadn't had much to eat that day.

You got a letter from Kyo explaining that Giyuu had saved a demon girl and her human brother while also defeating another Kizuki on his last mission. "He is so dreamy..." you thought to yourself.

You didn't mind that he had saved a demon girl. You thought that was an incredible thing. It made you happy to think that one day, demons and humans could live amongst one another in harmony. Although, Rengoku didn't seem too keen on the idea in his letter. 

As you were plating the food, you heard Giyuu enter the house. You were excited to see him again, but you didn't know how to greet him. "Am I his girlfriend?" you wondered to yourself. "(Y/N)?" Giyuu called out. "I'm in the kitchen!" You heard his steps get louder until you saw him enter the kitchen. "I made your favorite!" you said to him as you handed him a bowl. He looked down at the bowl and then at you, in shock. You were confused when he set his bowl down and took 3 big steps towards you.

He wrapped his arms around you, not giving you time to react and kissed you. You were tense for a second since it all happened so fast. You were also not used to this side of Giyuu. You finally relaxed and began to wrap your arms around him and kissed him back. He kissed you like he hadn't in days and you loved it. Moments later, he pulled away and you felt your cheeks get rosy.

"Thank you, (Y/N). You have done so much for me already." he said sweetly. "Of course, Giyuu, I just want to make you happy." He smiled, "You do."

He picked up his bowl and pulled the chair you normally sat in closer to him. You sat down where he had placed your seat and watched him take his first bite. "This tastes amazing!" You giggled at him and began to eat yourself. He ate his up extremely fast. "There's seconds if you want some mo..." before you even finished speaking he had already gotten up to get more. You laughed even harder.

"Oh! I almost forgot!" Giyuu began. "Master Ubuyashiki said he wants me to take you to see your family, and then go see my trainer, who was a former Hashira himself." "Really?! I'm so excited! Grandma will be so excited to meet you! When can we go? My village is quite far." you told him. "Mount Sagiri is pretty far too. How about we run until the sun goes down, and find a hotel to stay in for the night. So that we can get to your family early tomorrow morning." he asked.

"A hotel room?" You thought. That meant a little more now that your relationship with Giyuu had progressed. "Sure! Lets finish up eating and I'll get some things packed so that we can head out soon!" He nodded and gave you a smile.

The both of you walked out of the house and made your way out of HQ past the wisterias. Instead of Giyuu running ahead of you this time, he ran right beside you. You both were pretty quiet most of the run, but occasionally you and him chit chatted. It felt nice to have him beside you though, even if it was quiet.

After 3 hours of running, the sun was starting to set, and you stopped at a nearby village so that it would be safer. You and Giyuu walked into the hotel and went to go speak to the teller. "Hey! Could we get a room just for the night?" I asked politely. "Sure!" the teller responded. "One bed or two?" he said looking at us, trying to guess for himself whether Giyuu and I were together or not. "One bed is fine." Giyuu said. I felt myself blush as I looked away from the teller. He handed Giyuu the key and we made our way to the room.

This room was nicer than most hotels you had stayed at for missions. There was a kettle, and some tea bags so you went over to make yourself one. "Tea?" you asked Giyuu "No, but thank you." You smiled at him. "I'm still really sorry about our fight the other day. I got scared. I couldn't believe I let that demon just take you away right next to me." he said ashamed. "It's okay Giyuu, you have saved me multiple times! And your going to keep saving me! There is no one I feel safer with."

You walked over to where he was and gave him a hug. This was the first real hug the two of you had shared. You buried your face in his chest and wrapped your arms tightly around his waist and he hugged you back tightly too. You felt him relax, and then he kissed the top of your head. You pulled away some as you began "I heard about the boy you saved, with his demon sister. I think that's amazing, Giyuu. I wish more of the Hashira understood your reasoning." you told him as you sat on the corner of the bed.

"Yeah it was quite the scene with Shinazugawa and Iguro. I know she won't hurt a human. I know she's different." he said as you gave him a smile. "I'm gonna go wash up before bed. I won't be long at all." "Okay. I'll miss you!" you said with a wink. You thought of all the things you and him could do in this bed and wondered if he was comfortable with any of that yet.

You were writing a quick letter to your family, letting them know to expect you the next day when Giyuu came out of the bathroom, with only pants on. You sent your crow off with the letter and turned your attention to Giyuu. He sat down on his side of the bed as you watched his every step lustfully. You could tell he had a look that he had never really had around you. "What are you thinking about?" You asked him, trying to see if maybe he was on the same page as you. His deep blue eyes met yours as your heart began to beat faster.

"I don't think you want to know what I'm thinking about." He said mysteriously, yet flirty.

"Oh, I think I do..." You told him, flirting back.
