Self Harm Warning
Location: Arkansas, U.S. One week later
Zero fixed his shirt and walked into his father's office, swallowing his fear as the doors opened, "We have caught the ability users and their associates."
"Bring them in," Arkes ordered, waving his hand towards the door. He sat behind a large desk.
Zero nodded and opened the door, three men and a woman were led inside. All of them heavily restrained.
"Good. Now Alastor, kill them. One by one using your ability," Arkes leaned back in his seat and crossed his hands on his desk.
Zero inhaled sharply and looked at the them They could not speak but their eyes held enough words. Fear and pain. Regret and sadness.
"Yes sir," Zero nodded and activated Curiosity Killed the Cat. He started with the woman,"Goodnight..." His hand closed and the woman's neck snapped.
Zero felt sick. He didn't want to do this, but he didn't want to die either. The process repeated three more times.
He clutched his stomach and fell to the ground. Tears began to fall and he held back sobs.
Arkes stood,"Get the hell up. Right now!" He yelled at Zero.
Zero couldn't move. He didn't want to move.
"Weak. You're so weak, brother," Lily's voice spoke inside of his head. "I hope Father punishes you. It's what you deserve."
With those words a jolt of electricity shot through Zeros body. He grabbed at the shock collar around his throat and gasped for air.
"I'm sorry! I'm so-sorry! Stop. Stop!" He begged Arkes to stop the pain.
"Stand up." Arkes ordered.
Zero bit back the pain and brought himself to his feet. The electricity stopped and he took several rapid breaths. He glared at his father. "Any new orders?"
Arkes shook his head,"You're done for the day. Go to your room. There's some toys awaiting your arrival."

When Zero opened the door to his room he saw blades scattered across his desk.He let out a bitter laugh and grabbed one,"Is this what you want? For me to just kill myself, Father?" Zero shut his door and looked at his arms. Old scars scattered his upper arms and wrists. Deep ones with bumpy scars and small that hardly showed.
He hovered the blade over his wrist and thought about how nice it would be to just end it. He had no one, nothing. Life wasn't beautiful. He had lied to himself this whole time. Life was evil and cruel and worthless.
"I think all life is beautiful in some way, Dazai," Zero smiled at the man in front of him.
Dazai scoffed and shook his head,"Not all life." He was referring to himself.
Zero held out a dandelion to him,"Yes. All life. Now make a wish."
The bandaged man sighed and blew out the dandelion, "I wish for-"
Zero quickly covered his mouth,"You can't tell me or it won't come true!"
Zero dropped the blade and brought his knees to his chest. He missed the Armed Detective Agency. He missed Dazais pestering, missed his voice and he even missed the stupid manipulative tests he'd give Zero to mess with him.
Zero missed cooking for Ranpo and making special snacks for Kenji. He misse chatting with Yasano. He missed all of them.
He let out a frustrated scream and punched the wall in with one swift movement. The wall cracked then exploded. Zero felt his wrist snap but was overwhelmed by his ability covering his body.
A dark laugh erupted from his body and as he let his ability take control. It guided his movements, taking him to his father. He killed everyone in his path, unable to stop the surge of power.
It hurt so bad, but felt so good.
His father was waiting, his ability already ready to kill Zero if needed.
Zero kicked the door in and dodged his father's quick rain of attacks. "I'm not going to be your puppet any longer."
Arkes ran forward, throwing three slashes at Zero,"Then I'll dispose of you just like your useless sister."
"Lily may have been weak. But at least she wasn't a piece of shit coward like you, Matthew." Zero landed a kick to his father's chest, sending the older man flying into the wall.
Zero walked over and placed his foot on his father's forehead, kicking him repeatedly, "I should have killed you long ago."
His father reached for the device to activate the shock collar around Zeros pale throat.
Zero stomped on his hand,"You." Stomp. "Don't. " Stomp. "Get." Stomp. "To move." The device shattered with a wave of the white haired mans hand, causing the collar to fall off.
Zero kept kicking his father over, and over until he was a bloody, broken mess. "Now die." He took the blade from his pocket that he picked up from his room and held it to his father's throat.
"Please...Son..." Matthew coughed, his last pleading words.
Zero didn't hesitate. In one swift movement Matthew Arkes was dead.
The surge didn't stop, in fact it only grew. Zero didn't have time to even look at his father's dead body as he dropped to his knees and put his hands on both sides of his head. He was going to die. The power was to much.
A hand gently rested upon Zeros head, causing his power to quickly cease.
"It's over Alastor."
The voice was right. It was over. The cause of his suffering was dead. There would be no more flowers added to his garden.
Zero turned to see Dazai standing over him with his stupid smile plastered across his face. He stumbled to his feet and before he could even stand all the way up he wrapped his arms around Dazais waist and hugged him.
Dazai hid back his shock and gently patted his head,"...It's ok."
