Isabella's POV
My name's Isabella Crawford, but all my friends call me Bella. I'm 18 years old and I'm a senior at Eagle Mountain High. I'm a pretty simple Caucasian girl, I have long wavy dark hair and green eyes with a hint of brown around the pupils. For most of the High school, I worked in a café nearby but my mom told me that maybe it'd be better for me if I quit and focus more on school and my grades. She is scared of the possibility of me not getting into a good college. I know exactly why so I've always tried to make her proud and focus on school. Senior Year has been exhausting so far, but today it's the last day of school before spring break. I could use some time to relax.
As usual, me and my best friends: Aria Fox, James Ellis, and Nicholas Hall, (we just call each other by our first names and maybe some silly nicknames we made up throughout the years except for Nick most of the time, we just call him Nick) are going to have our first spring movie night. We all know it's an awful name but we were in freshman year, we just haven't changed it yet because marks the beginning of our friend group.
Aria is a beautiful blond-haired girl, her hair is straight and didn't reach her shoulders, her eyes are blue and as deep as the ocean, the most beautiful shade of blue I've ever seen on a person's eyes. She has an unmatched bone structure and a perfect body. To top it all off she has an amazing sense of style if you google skater girl that is exactly her aesthetic and she is an amazing skater, way better than some of the guys at the skate park. She looks tough and all but once you get to know her you see that she is really funny, spontaneous, and sweet, an actual dream girl. My body type is very similar to Aria's but I normally dress in a more girly way than she does. I think that over the years she has influenced me and my style a bit and I'm not mad at it at all. She is the first girl best friend I've ever had and I can't stress enough about the fact that I didn't have one of these before. Unlike her, James is a tall dark guy with light eyes. He's really confident and he barely feels any shame at all, he's the funniest one and definitely not the brightest of the bunch. He's very athletic, the most athletic of the group to be honest. He almost made the football team and he swears that he just didn't make it because someone bought his way in and he's a hundred and ten percent sure that Alex was the one who bout the place on the team. Now, to compensate, he works out every day and is very dedicated to fitness but he doesn't always eat healthy food and doesn't even try to. Not only that, but every day James tries to convince Nick to go to the gym with him but every single day Nick refuses to go. I think that Nick only refuses to go to the gym with James again because James gets really intense while he's working out. It scared Nick the first time, I guess he learned his lesson. Nick is the nerdiest compared to the rest of the group. He prefers to read or study in his corner and when he's not doing that he's watching a movie. My hobbies are a lot more similar to Nick's, I like to read even though I don't read that much. I like to just vibe to music or maybe even dance, or paint, I genially just do what I feel like I can't explain much about that. Even though he's nerdier than the rest of the group he is still good-looking compared to what the media stereotypically portraits the nerd and still works out every day just not as intensely as James. He has the lowest self-esteem you'll ever see on a person but he hides it really well so you probably won't notice anything at all. I know this because we're not only best friends but he once told me that he felt insecure walking around next to James because James was a lot more muscular than James. Besides, I guess he learned how to fake his confidence from hanging out with James and the rest of the group every day.
We didn't grow up together though. I grew up with James, we were practically inseparable once every time our moms wanted to hang out, they'd say that it was just because of us and for us to play. This only happened because our parents met while they were in high school and have been friends ever since. On the other hand, Aria and Nick already knew each other when we entered freshman year of high school, the year we met. We didn't like each other at all at the time and it's so funny for us to look back at that time. We started not to hate each other when we were forced to work together on a group project in the first semester and we all hated it at first but as the project was closer and closer to its end, we realized we weren't that different and started to hang out a lot and later on we became friends and even later on best friends as we are now. I spent some of the best and worst moments of my life besides these people, crazy to think how everything happened.
This time it's Nick's time to host our traditional first spring movie night, every single time it turned into a sleepover but we still call it a movie night. This is the first tradition that we have in the group, thinking that freshman year was so long ago makes me so nostalgic. We've always had so much fun together that none of us can imagine life without the others. In freshman year we stayed at my house, we were all unprepared for a sleepover so they all called their moms to bring them some clean clothes. They all came which meant that they would spend the night and we built a fort in my living room to sleep in, it was so much fun! A year later, sophomore year, James hosted our movie night, we spent junior year one at Aria's house, and now, senior year Nick is hosting it. I'm pretty sure this is going to be the most epic movie night we ever had. I can feel it in my bones!
