Not everything is what it appears to be

Bella's P.O.V

We started to listen to a weird and really loud sound. The sound came from behind me. Once I was with my back turned to the door, I thought it was coming from outside of the house. I looked at them and they looked surprised and scared. I was reluctant about facing what they were looking at but I eventually did. It was a massive chronometer. It started as soon as I looked at it. I need to do something! The host said we needed to look for the keys. We should have found them if by now.

Bella – Alex you said that are several locked doors upstairs. Which ones?

Alex – Um, I can show you.

Bella – We're all going.

Jennifer – Fine.

We ran upstairs. He showed us all the doors that were locked. There were 8 locked doors. We're going to be a long time! 'Bella think! Maybe if you get in one of the rooms, we'll find something!' I thought. I can see that all of them are trying to think of something. I started to look around at the walls. I noticed that the walls had paintings on them. I could swear that they didn't before.

Bella – Where all these paintings here before?

Nick – What- no they were not!

Bella – Take those off the walls!

Jennifer – Why?

Bella – If these weren't here before maybe there's something behind them!

They all looked at me and obeyed my order. It felt good to be a leader but I have no idea what I'm doing! I don't want them to depend on me when I don't even belie that I'm capable of getting out of here. I walked over to this painting; it was a painting of a little girl alone in the woods pointing at something. We couldn't see what she was pointing at but I still felt intrigued. I decided to look in the direction she was pointing at, I didn't know what else to do! When I looked in the direction she was pointing and I could see a door. It was a black door with a golden doorknob. I felt tempted to go there but something interrupted my thought.

Victoria – Bella? I think I found something.

I ran over to where Victoria was. She had a piece of paper in her hands.

Bella – What does it say?

Victoria – A...?

Bella – A?

Alex – That door has an A on top of it! *He said heading to this light brown door*

I headed to the black door as they were all heading to the light brown door. I looked at the door for a while before I heard a bang. I looked over and Alex and James were trying to open the door. I looked at the doorknob a little bit more closely and I found an A on it. I decided to try to open the door. I was almost certain that the door wouldn't open. But, to my surprise, I was wrong.

Thomas – How did you do that? *he asked surprised*

Bella – I don't know, I used the doorknob and it opened. It has an A right here. *I said pointing at it*

Thomas – Did you know that?

Bella – No, I saw it before I tried to open it.

Thomas looked at me and then back at the doorknob, He was thinking about something.

Bella – Guys this door opened!

Alex – What? That door was locked!

Jennifer – But now it is! Let's go in.

I looked inside the room and it was a library. It sure was not what I was expecting. We all got in. We looked around for a while. We didn't know exactly what we were looking for.
