The last person standing

It's morning again!

When I woke up, I couldn't hear a sound. Maybe everyone else was asleep. I checked my phone, 9:15 am. Well, that's a reasonable hour to wake up. I got up and on a pair of shorts and got ready to go downstairs. Well, I was questioning if I should take Thomas' t-shirt off and put on a sports bra. I ended up doing so, but I put Thomas' t-shirt on again. I still smelled like his cologne, and it smells so good! I go downstairs and straight into the lab to see if any of them is awake.

Thomas – Good morning sunshine.

Bella – Good morning. How did you sleep?

Thomas – Good and you?

Bella – Good too, after I stole your shirt.

*Thomas turns his head to look at me. *

Thomas – You look beautiful in my shirt.

Bella – Thank you. Is Alex awake?

Thomas – No, that dude sleeps like a rock.

Bella – None of the others are awake either.

Thomas – If I could move from the neck down, we would probably be in the library right now.

Bella – I know. But once we get out of here, we'll have plenty of things to do. Even if we just go to the local library.

Thomas – I can't wait for that. *little pause* Bella, I'm losing my vision as well.

Bella – Crap, I'll go wake Nick and Vic up.

Thomas – You're in AP chemistry as well, you can help them. Yesterday afternoon before you guys came back, they were looking worried.

Bella – It's their work, I won't start to move around with the stuff that they've been working on. I'll wake them up and I'll be right back.

I walked out of the lab trying to look calm and jogged upstairs into Vic and Nick's room. I knocked. No response. I knocked again. No response once more. I opened the door to find them cuddling. Okay, they are really cute.

Bella – Guys, wake up!

*Nick groans*

Bella – Thomas is getting worse, C'mon. Wake up! *I said shaking Nick. *

Vic – Wait, what?

Bella – He told me he's losing his vision. We need to help him.

Vic – Nick, get up! We have stuff to do!

They quickly got up and I got back to the lab as they got ready to come downstairs. Not even two minutes later, they were in the lab working on the antidote. I went to the kitchen to make some breakfast for them once I woke them up to work. I made some scrambled eggs and toast for me, Vic, Nick, and Thomas. I turn on my waitress mode and carried the four plates to the lab at once. Nick and Vic ate theirs quickly as I was eating mine and feeding Thomas more calmly.

~Through the walkie-talkie~

James – Dude, are you serious! It's morning again!

Bella – Are you sure? I think it's only 2 am. Go back to sleep.

James – Ugh. I wish I could, the eggs smell so good!

Bella – Well, I can make you some if you want.

James – Yes, please. I'll just take a quick shower, and I'll be right down.

Right after, all we could hear were footsteps running upstairs. We started laughing when we heard that. I gave the last bit of toast to Thomas, got up, and went to the kitchen once again to make some breakfast for James. Just as I was finishing, James came through the kitchen door with some paper and a pair of pencils.

Bella – Hey James.

James – Hey Bella, is that for me? *He said handing me the paper and one pencil*

Bella – Yeah. Feel free to eat.

I noticed that it had something written on it.

"We need to do something about this. We know they can hear us. We need a plan to get out!"

I signaled to him a 'Yes'. And he nodded.

James – This is great!

We made a little more chit-chat as we wrote on the paper some ideas, but we still need to talk to the other about it. 

Jen – Good morning.

Aria – Good morning, what-

James quickly placed his hand over Aria's mouth. He pointed to the first part of the paper where he decided to make a plan. To not cause suspicion I quickly decided to pretend I was completing her sentence.

Bella – We're eating scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast today. I'll make yours now. Take a seat.

They did as they read the paper. As they did it, there was this silence that I don't think was awkward but it wasn't the most comfortable either.

Jen – So, how are Thomas and Alex?

Bella – I don't understand much about the machines Alex is attached to but Thomas got worse. He told me that he was losing his vision.

 Aria – Damn, that doesn't sound good.

Bella – Yeah, Nick and Vic are still trying to find the antidote.

James – Have they eaten?

Bella – Yeah, I made breakfast for me, Nick, Vic, and Thomas earlier. Alex was still asleep.

Jen – I'll check on him now. *Jennifer said as she finished eating*

Aria – I'll go with you. *She added getting up from her chair* 

Bella – Wanna check the storage room? Maybe we find something.

James – Sure, let's go.

It has been around an hour, two? I have no idea. We looked through almost every box in there. I found a few bobby pins, some bags of chips, a blue inked BIC pen, and two whiteboard pens. Also, some weird drawings and some pieces of paper. Nothing really useful.

James – Did you find anything useful?

Bella – Nope, what about you?

James – Same here. Let's go meet the others?

Bella – Yeah.

 Of course, this was as staged as it could be. We should be in Hollywood for how good of a performance we're doing. I put some bobby pins in my pocket and I grab both of the whiteboard pens. James and I met at the door of the storage room before we got out of it.
