Bella's P.O.V.

Jesus Christ! I'd never see this coming in my wilder nightmares! I have no idea what to do right now! I hope they are able to save Alex! Even though we never really talked I still hope he turns out okay, no one deserves such a tragic end. Besides this whole thing, there was one thing bothering me. Why was the code my birthday? We've got little notes throughout our stay here like: "Remember..." in mine and Thomas' room, "The secrets will kill you all" in the kitchen and "choose" with a key. These don't seem related at all! Wait... what if they're not meant to be related to each other. What if they're targeted at one of us? No, this can't be right! This had to mean that The Host knows us in real life. I mean ALL of us! My friend group is very different from Jennifer's, or so I thought. I mean, I still don't like her but Alex, Victoria and Thomas are great people. But all this doesn't matter right now! We need to help Alex right now.

Thomas – C'mon buddy. You know that you can't sleep right now!

Alex – My eyelids are so heavy though.

I decided to walk over there to try to help. I was standing next to Alex on his other side there was Thomas, trying his best to make sure his best friend didn't die right there and then.

Bella – Hey Alex, I know we never really talked much, but can you tell me a little bit about yourself and your goals for the future?

Alex – Why do you want to know that?

Bella – Just cooperate, please.

Alex – Fine! So, I was born on the 19th of July. I fell in love with football at a very young age, met my best friend in kindergarten. Later on, Vic and Jen. Fell in love with Jen. Sucked at school really. I had a stable life at home but, all my best moments were spent, with those three. I can't complain about my life. I've been so hyped up recently cause I just received a football scholarship to Harvard. It has been my dream school since I can remember. I'm still not sure about what I wanted to do after college or what I wanted to study there but I still had time, and I think it's better to think that I STILL have time. I've also always dreamed of finding the love of my life, proposing to her, her saying yes and we'd grow old together with a happy family. We'd have as many kids she'd want, I wouldn't care as long she was happy. Now, inside of this sick house, I was making more friends and who I believe is my long-lost twin once we have so much alike. I realized that Nick wasn't just a nerd and Aria wasn't just rude by nature. I realized that you aren't as bad of a person as Jen painted you to be and I'm sorry for helping her bully you for all that time. I'm not even mad if I end up dying, to be honest. I'm happy that got the chance to actually meet you guys and, if you don't mind, of course, call you my friend.

I was tearing up at his answer. Alex was smiling at me while I could also see Thomas holding back his tears. I took a deep breath and wiped the single ear running through my left cheek.

Bella – Of course, Alex. We're all friends here! Well, me and Jen have our issues. However, me, Aria, Nick and James are your friends. And all the things that you want to do and are dreaming of right now will happen. I can feel it!

Alex – Thank you, this means a lot to me. The fact that you guys are trying to save my life makes me really happy. I wish I could hug you right now for being this nice to me.

I grabbed one of Alex's hands with both of my hands. I knew he was hurting, we all are, but still smiling and making us try to feel better. He's such an amazing person!

Bella – It's okay Alex. You'll be okay!

Alex smiled at me before looking at Thomas who had his back turned from me and Alex. James came into the room moments before Aria and Jennifer came back.

Jennifer – Okay Alex, we have everything prepared in the lab for you. I'm going to give you anaesthesia so you won't feel a thing. Were performing surgery on you to try to stop the blood from leaving your body.

Aria – We need you to trust us, Alex.

Alex – I do Aria. Do whatever you guys think it's the best. I trust and believe you guys.

Aria – Thank you.

Jennifer – Okay, Alex I'm giving you the anaesthesia so you won't feel it when we take whatever stabbed you out of you okay?

Alex – Okay.

Jennifer did as she said. I didn't understand exactly what they were doing but seeing him get out of there and the blood on the floor, our clothes and everything made me feel in a medical show. I hated every second of it. James and Thomas were the ones in the room next to Alex while Aria and Jennifer tried their best. Me, Nick and Victoria were sitting just outside the door. This is the most stressful situation I've ever been in! 

 ~ 2 hours later ~

Nick – How do you guys think it's going? *he said breaking the silence that has been installed for two whole hours*

Victoria – I honestly have no idea. But I think it's a good thing that they're not arguing.

Bella – I have to admit that you're right there!

Victoria – How did you and Thomas manage to keep him awake?

Nick – That's actually a good question. Last night as soon as we closed our door we could hear him snore.

Bella – Well, I asked him about his life. He talked for a while. He was smiling and said that he didn't mind if he died. I cried and Thomas turned him back at us so I have no idea what he was doing.

Victoria – Yeah, He's always looking out for us. He always has been.

Bella – He sounds like the sweetest person ever.

Victoria – He is! I hope he's okay right now and that he gets out of here with us.

Nick – Me too.

*the door opens in front of us and we quickly get up*

Victoria – So how is he?

*Jennifer gets out crying and goes upstairs*

I looked over at Victoria, she never looked this worried or sad EVER! I'm not going to lie but I was also really scared for Alex. Aria also walked out of the lab and up the stairs short moments later. She walked without saying a word just as Jennifer did, but she wasn't crying. Then, James and Thomas walked out of the lab and closed the door. Victoria was crying at this point and I was trying to hold back my tears. Nic had one arm around me and another around Victoria with this worried look on his face that I hate. Thomas looked up from the floor and said:

-He's okay for now. He fell asleep during the surgery. He's still breathing though.

Victoria – Oh thank god! *she sighed relieved at the same time me and Nick did the same*

Nick – Why did they leave like that?

James – I don't know how it is, but I'm pretty sure that operating someone you know. When you're NOT a medical professional must be really hard on you. Alex was in between life and death, which on its own is nerve-wracking.

Thomas – I think James is right. Also, they had blood all over them, they must be in the bathroom right now.

Bella – Such bad timing you know?

Host – I know, but oh well. Life's how it is!
