Chapter 21

Summer

I woke up to the hot sun burning my face; I closed one eye as I got up. I stretched and looked around, we were on a beach. I looked at the ground, Anthony and Chad were passed out, and so were the Pegasus. Where were we?

“Hey kid! Get your horses off the beach! No animals permitted!” Yelled a lifeguard,

I rolled my eyes at him from far away. “Well, technically, the beach is full of animals! Get your facts right and go to college!”

He eyed me before sitting back down, I win. I smiled and shook everyone awake, I asked the Pegasus where we were, but they just walked away. So I decided to follow them, they stopped at a wooden sign, it said something about Florida. Great, they flew us all the way cross the country.  What are we going to do now?

“We are close to New York, why don’t we go to camp?” Anthony suggested as he walked up to me.

I squinted my eyes from the hot sun “You sure?”

“Yeah, I am sure, maybe Hope is there for some anonymous reason.” Anthony continued.

I rolled my eyes “Yeah, but we are supposed to search for the ship. Why don’t we go back near the West where all the mountains are, Gaea is mostly mountain you know.”

Chad came walking over, he face was half sun burnt, and I almost laughed.

“Why don’t you guys just go to camp for some extra food and money than we can go back?” He suggested.

I thought for a moment “Yeah, that’s a great idea.”

And with that, we flew off towards New York. On the way, I fixed my black hair with my mirror, and took off all the dirt on my shirt. We arrived there in less than an hour; the horses landed us in front of the stables as they went in. We jogged to the big house; Chad was more than excited to be back.

I knocked on the porches door, two minutes and the door swung open. Chiron was in his wheel chair, his face grew with delight. He invited us in, and demanded the story. After that, Chad finally told his story of how he ran away, Chiron nodded knowing who he was.

“Well, lets all pray to the Gods that Hope will be found. Meanwhile, you three children should go eat and rest later for your journey tomorrow” Chiron said sitting back in his wheel chair.

I shook my head back and forth “No can do, its still light out, not to use you just for stuff we need, but we just came here to check in, gets some food and money, than we will be on our way.”

Chiron sighed but nodded, and pointed us to the mess hall and than the Athena cabin. We can get food at the Mess hall, and money at the Athena cabin, they were the most trustable; not like the Hermes cabin, the money would be gone in less than a day.

So we headed to the Mess Hall, our quest has just started, and it won’t end for awhile.

We left on the Pegasus at Twelve o clock, just enough time for the rest of the day. Two-hundred dollars in my pocket and a refrigerated pack (The Hephaestus kids lent it to us) full of food on Anthony’s side. We were ready to go, and, maybe, ready to die. Who knows what’s going to happen on this trip. We headed into what looked like, Tennessee, the wind picked up as big brown and gray clouds covered us. I didn’t even have time to hold onto the Pegasus rains like Anthony and Chad; I was flown off the horse from a huge gust of wind. I fell down looking up reaching my arms out, I was screaming, my Pegasus was thrown into the dirt next to me as she hit the ground hard. I didn’t even want to look, all I saw was wood and dirt flying with big gray clouds, with lightning. I heard my name being called repeatedly from Chad and Anthony; I hit something hard as I closed my eyes.

AH!!!!!!!! I am so sorry i haven't posted in a whole week! So, for you to forgive me, heres a big heart chocolate and......
