Chapter 17
Chad
I and Summer walked down the stone path; the sun was starting to touch the mountains. It was getting dark soon, so we need to find a lead, fast. Summer started walking ahead of me, her black hair swaying back and forth. I liked her hair better the way it used to be, I have no idea why she changed it. I know my dead is Hades and all, god of the dead, but don't mean I haft to act like I am dead. I like to be a nice person, I haven't summoned the dead in my whole life, like my older brother Nico, I met him on this meeting Hades had. (It was stupid; who knew changing the judges for the dead would take that long.) The sun was starting to go down behind the mountains when I noticed two pair's foot prints on the edge of the path.
"Hey Summer, check this out." I said pointing at them. "It's the best we got. We should follow."
Summer sighed. "I don't know, it's almost dark, and I feel more comfortable on the path." She said rubbing her hand against her arm.
I looked up at her. "It's probably the last clue we have on finding them, we either go into the forest, or we go straight and lose your friends forever. Your choice," I said waving my head so my shaggy black hair went to the side.
"You're right, we should go where Hope and Anthony went, and hopefully we will find them." Summer said messing with her thumbs.
"It's final then, let's go towards our death."
Summer wacked me in the arm "Shut up." Then she headed into the forest.

It was dark, but the constellations were off the hook. Even in camp I never seen so many, Summer was in awe and wasn't even paying attention where she was going. Summer appeared a flashlight in her hand, and so we were still following footprints until we came out into a clearing. Summer shun he flashlight ahead, I squinted really hard and noticed something familiar. I started running towards it, I told Summer to shut off her light. When I got to the familiar thing, there was smoke coming out of the chimney on top, and there was light through the windows.
"The boat." I said.
Summer smiled and ran in front of me. She knocked on the cabin door, it slammed open.
Thaila had her bow ready. She put it down slowly.
"Oh it's you; don't freak me out like that." She said annoyed. Then Thaila waved her hand so we can come in, we followed.
The rest of the girls were lying all over the cabin, this cabin was huge. There was about twenty beds, and five tables, with their own fridge.
"Where are the others?" Thaila said sitting down at a table and opening a coke.
Summer sat down across from Thaila, and so I sat next to Summer. All the girls were giving me dirty looks, what'd I do?
"Uh... We kind of ran into trouble..." Summer said scratching her head.
"We sat here for days waiting for you bored out of our minds; I can hear a good story." Thaila said sipping her coke. So Summer told her story, mostly because she knew the whole thing. I was just there in the end. When she was done, Summer and I were eating McDonalds because one of the girls went to the town and got it. Gods I was dying for one of these.
"Ok I get the story." Thaila said. "But can you explain why you look like that?" She said waving her hand up and down Summer's body.
(By the way, I know Thaila's name because Summer informed me on the way to the boat.)
"Uh..." Summer said taking off her necklace and shrinking to back to a bracelet. Thaila just sat there with no emotion on her face.
"This is why." She said handing it to Thaila.
Thaila grabbed it and looked at it. "Nah."
She set it on the table.
"I mean why," Thaila said picking her teeth with a tooth pick.
"Oh." Summer said. She glanced at me nervously and blushed.
Thaila looked at me. "Go dance like a chicken or something outside." She said to me.
"What?" I almost yelled confused,
"Go do it before I shoot you with my arrow to a pulp" She said staring at me with evil lightning blue eyes.
I nodded quickly and ran out of the cabin, so much for being friendly.
I looked up at the sky; the moon was probably bright enough to be a spotlight.
The stars were no completely clear with no clouds. I lay on the metal boat floor and looked up into the sky, I could see many constellations.
Virgo, Leo, Aquarius, the Big dipper, the Small Dipper, Hercules, Perseus, Scutum, Hydra, Draco, Carina, Cetus and one that looked like a girl with a bow, I just learned this one, concentrate. Oh yeah, Zoe, it appeared there a couple years ago. I sighed when I heard shuffling of bushes. I looked up; I think I just saw something move in the forest. I stood up and looked closely; maybe it was just my imagination. I went to lie back down when I heard it again, maybe I should go investigate. I picked up Summer's flashlight she left on the stool outside and started heading towards the forest. Then I saw it, something big moved out of one part of the forest and into the other part. I looked to my right and noticed a volcano, freaky, I never noticed that. I decided to walk into the forest; I took a step into it and looked around.
"That's creepy, I thought I saw-"
