Chapter 23

Jasmine

I woke up when we arrived to the camp; a dude dropped his ipod on the plane and left before I could return it, so I decided to keep it. All my favorite songs were on there,

I was listening to “On the Floor: By: Jennifer Lopez”

I started singing the lyrics embarrassing Hope, she plucked one of my headphones out of my ear and said “Shut up” and than put it back in. Like I child, I just stuck my tongue at her and started singing louder and dancing a retarded dance in the middle of the hallway. She grabbed my arm and dragged me to the front calling a cab; I just crossed my arms and blew my red bangs off my forehead. Finally the Taxi came and we piled in with no suitcases or anything because we didn’t really have anything when we were kidnapped by Cyclops. Hope told the dude up front where to go, we ran out quickly after paying him, we arrived and I looked at my watch on my wrist. One o clock, I sighed and dashed past the stone arch. Wow, this place nothing compared to my camp, it has Pegasus, a huge pine tree with a golden fleece and a purple dragon guarding it. It was wide open with the smell of fresh strawberries, I took as much of it in as possible. I ran down the hill freely, everyone in camp turned their heads towards me and looked confused until they saw my purple shirt. I stopped and smiled crazy like and headed towards the big house ignoring Hope, I burst in to see what Hope explained to me, Chiron, half horse, he was drinking ice cold water in horse form. He had trickles of sweat on his brow and a bow hanging from his shoulder, like he came in to get a drink after teaching a class or something.

I smiled up at him and his eyebrows pulled together as a drip of sweat fell to the ground.

“Hey” I said.

“Who are you?” he asked confused.

I shook my head and clicked my head like I was teaching something and he got the answer wrong “Chiron, I am sure you should know every demi-god that walks through that door. My director does.”  I said swiftly and plopped on an arm chair, it felt nice after hard chairs in the back of the plane. Than Hope burst through the door worried and saw me, she sighed in relief “I thought you were eaten by a dragon or something.”

I rolled my eyes “I am crazy, but not that crazy.” I started kicking my legs and held on to the arm wrest.

Chiron’s jaw dropped to the floor “H- Hope? I thought you went missing!”

Hope looked shocked; she put her hands on her waist “How did you hear about that?”

Chiron set down his water on the table “I was just told that by Summer not too long ago, about an hour ago.”

Hopes jaw seemed to drop to the floor “Only if Jazz didn’t make me buy her Nachos!”

“Hey!” I said pointing a finger at her “My tummy was hungry!”

She rolled her eyes and looked up at the half horse dude “Got any food? I didn’t get any.” She eyed me madly I almost laughed “I didn’t mean to eat it all!”

“But you could have at least saved me some!”

I yawned and patted my lips on purpose; Hope seemed to be really annoyed.

The tips of Chiron’s lips twitched a little like he wasn’t trying to smile.

“Why don’t you two go eat and rest and I’ll contact Summer when you wake? Ok?”

I nodded and dashed outside to something that looked like a mess hall, I smiled and dashed there. What? I have a high metabolism, I ate and walked around camp very interested and of course, I went to the stables. I HAD to see the Pegasus! Our camp does not have them! At the end of the day, when the sun finally fell behind the mountains, I passed out in the Ares cabin, personal guest from Hope, because this camp didn’t have a cabin for me because my mom was complete Roman, not a single speck of Greek. I sighed and dreamed of my flying a Pegasus hopping over Rainbows when something struck me. A tornado. I fell off and hit the ground so hard, I felt like screaming but nothing came out of my mouth I screamed awake to see it was still dark. I flipped to the side and put on my shoes throwing on a sweater from the camp store and dashed outside. I went and laid next to the ocean watching the sun come up, finally after awhile, I stood back up and started walking to the mess hall when I spotted something as the arch, I made my way there to see a girl there, not breathing. I started shaking her worried,

“Help!” I screamed “Someone! Help!”

Heads started poking out of they’re doors half asleep.

“Over here! Someone!” I waved my hand for them to come, Hope was the first to run, and she gasped at the sight.

“No!” She broke down on her knees “No! This can’t be! There’s now way this is possible! She was my only friend!”

She stifled a sob trying to be strong, but the sight of a girl she probably just saw at least a week ago dead in her eyes was probably to much to handle, but she couldn’t help it. Tears were spilling down her cheeks.

The whole camp was here now, Chiron picked her up with his arms and started trotting her away as Hope broke down on my shoulder, and a single tear fell from my cheek. But I wiped it quickly before anyone can see. That afternoon we burnt her shroud, Greek were weird… I shook my head and kept my head down starring at the ground and keeping my hands in my sweater pockets. I sighed after everyone left, I turned around to see a boy land on a brown Pegasus, and he looked familiar. I squinted and my eyes widened “Anthony!” I yelled. Hope turned around with swollen red eyes and she gasped and sat there for a second. Then she ran up to Anthony after he jumped off and hugged him so tight, crying into his shoulder. I had to smile at the sight I saw, two more years and I bet they would be a perfect couple. I turned around and sighed as the rest of the pink sparks flew up into the sky from Summers pink shroud. I walked up to the fire and sat down in front of the fire, something golden was on sitting in the dirt. I reached down and picked it up, I looked like a Venus bracelet, I un-clipped it and put it on, it fit perfectly, I sighed and walked back to the beach, feeling depressed as ever thinking about the last time I saw my family, the time I saw my family die in the flames of Hades, and I was going to get pay back. I reached down and held the bracelet, anger was boiling in my system of the thought, I stood up and took the brown Pegasus that was trotting along the beach, I sat on and kicked my heels in the horse’s sides. The horse galloped and flew away, I need the perfect person for this, someone from my own place. I needed Chad, I took off. Feeling in my system saying that this wasn’t the end; I have a secret, and no one in my life knows my evil side, I held it in forever, but seeing and innocent person die just makes me get the thoughts. And I will not let if happen again, the last time I saw the person I was looking for, he was talking to some random girl, and that random girl was sitting dead in the grass. He blushed a lot, which showed he liked her, I like him since the first time I entered camp, and I knew he was the one who dropped her off. But when I saw him with Summer, anger boiled and I took off into the forest, and I was captured, he didn’t notice at all. But I knew what he was after, and I was going to be at his side the whole time. I smirked as I left Hope behind, I wanted revenge.
