𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤'𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐲:

You shall delve in the darkness of the endless maze,

The dead, the traitor, and the lost one raise.

You shall rise or fall by the ghost king's hand,

The child of Athena's final stand.

Destroy with a hero's final breath,

And lose a love to worse than death.

𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲:

Veronica Westcourt has improved her behavior massively since the past winter. She's been living with her friend Percy Jackson and his mother, and she's gotten close to both of them. Her life has been a lot less stressful and she's ready to relax.

The only problem: everything related to her demigod life.

First off, Nico di Angelo. She's been searching for him for the past six months, worried sick, to absolutely no avail. Secondly, Luke. Percy's friend Annabeth insists that he's good, even after he forced her to hold the sky and left her to die, which Veronica calls bullshit on.

Third, this mortal girl named Rachel that can see through the Mist. As Veronica's feelings for Percy grow, her fatal flaw of jealousy gets in the way of seeing Rachel (and maybe Annabeth) clearly. Lastly, the fact that her mother is actually a daughter of Circe born from magical circumstances, making her a legacy of a sorceress who is a daughter of Hecate. Talk about a weird family tree.

And for some reason, fate threw a quest in the mix. Lucky for Veronica, it's a quest through the labyrinth, and Ariadne is her stepmother, so she knows a thing or two about the endless maze.

Let's hope Percy can keep the daughter of madness sane.
