Veronica woke up so much long later, she wasn't sure if she slept for hours or days. A cool towel was on her head and she noticed that she was shivering a lot less. She opened her eyes to find that she was alone on the terrace, and the campers that'd been injured were across the street, being tended to by Apollo kids. For once, she was thankful the sun god was as horny as his father and had so many kids, even if it wasn't much by the standards of how many campers remained alive at this point.

The curly haired girl stood up, blinking as she swayed slightly. She finally managed to take a few steps, and with that she started to get dressed for battle once again. She tended to herself briefly and reached for her sword and shield, still in their disguised forms. As soon as she was prepared, she made her way towards the others.

She saw the Party Ponies, Chiron's brethren, galloping around and trying to get into root beer, and Chiron stopping them before they could become utterly useless.

She figured she might as well approach Annabeth and Percy,  who'd Chiron left standing alone. Percy turned to her and stared. He looked like he was in shock.

Veronica frowned. "What is it Dream Boat?" she asked.

Percy blinked. "Um... nothing, I guess," he said "But what are you doing here?"

"I've recovered, obviously," Veronica said, catching sight of a familiar blue Prius. "Now let's get to... is that Paul's Prius?"

Percy turned around. "What are you..." He trailed off, then bolted down the street.

"Percy!" Annabeth called. "Where are you going?"

Veronica followed after Percy

Paul was passed out in the driver's seat. Sally was snoring beside him. Veronica questioned how she hadn't seen them before. Had they just been sitting here in traffic for over a day, the battle raging around them? How could she be so oblivious?

"They... they must've seen those blue lights in the sky," Percy said. He rattled the doors, only to find that they were locked. "I need to get them out."

"Percy," Annabeth said gently.

"I can't leave them here!" Percy shouted. He pounded on the windshield. "I have to move them. I have to—"

"Percy, wait," Veronica said. "Let's get help."

Annabeth waved to Chiron, who was talking to some centaurs down the block. "We can push the car to a side street, all right? They're going to be fine."

Percy was trembling. Veronica felt his sanity for just a moment, and she held his hand. Using her abilities, she tried to mend what'd broken as she assured Percy.
