"we have a new student today" mrs.simone said while looking to her side.

a girl was standing next to her. she had curly hair and was light skinned. her eyes were hazel and they really made the freckles on her face stand out.

"this is amari" mrs.simone smiled. "she's from texas"

i looked her up and down and made eye contact with her. i smirked a little and turned to jayden.

she was looking at me with her eyebrows raised up and had a pissed of expression on her face.

i sheepishly smiled at her while placing my hand on her thigh to let her know i was sorry. jay smacked my hand off and turned away from me.

tatum shook her head and me.

"since this is her first day here i'm assuming you don't know where any of your classes are, correct?" mrs. simone asked amari.

"yeah" amari nodded.

"alright wh-"

"i can show her" daniel cut her off before she could say anything.

"ain't you dating tatum though?" some kid yelled from the back of class.

"um" mrs.simone completely ignored him and looked around the room until her eyes landed on me. "billie! why don't you show her around?"

i turned to jayden then back at the teacher. "i guess" i shrugged while getting up.

i could feel jaydens eyes burning into the back of my skull as i walked out the class with amari.

"lemme see your schedule" i said while holding my hand out. she gave it to me and i read all her classes.

funny how i was the new kid having to do the same shit with jay. now it's me doing this but without her.

"your next class is history so that'll be on this same floor in the c hall which is right in front of us" i pointed down the hall.

"how do the halls and room numbers work?" amari asked me.

"aight" i started. "since there's three floors the first one is the 100s classrooms, second one is the 200s, and the third one is the 300s, got it?"

"yeah" she nodded.

"and the halls are up on the top on a sign that says which one they are" i pointed at one. "it won't be hard to know which ones they are"

i then showed her the main stairs which she already knew about, then the cafeteria, the study hall, and all that shit jayden showed me on my first day but faster than she did.

"where are the locker rooms?" amari asked while we walked.

"that's what i'm gonna show you right now" i chuckled. "this the small gym and that's the main gym. and when we walk a little more theres a door here that leads to like the basketball locker room, the volleyball, softball that typa shit. these are only for the sports, the regular pe classes have lockers in the small gym"

"ohh okay" she nodded. "what if i need to like shower or something?"

"you can use them" i told her.

i finished showing her the last parts and started walking back to class.

"where you from again?" i turned my head and looked up at her.

"texas" amari smiled shyly.

"oh so you must be on that yee haw shit" i snorted while shoving her arm playfully.
