" Hey, hey, hey, hey! Hold on a sec, mister. What do you mean you can't sell us the plane now? You said last night you'd sell it and even took my money. "
" I'll return your money. You see, the baby's sick. It's a 102-degree fever. There's no doctor in this town, so we have to take the baby somewhere else. "
I stood beside Jotaro, looking around for Kakyion and Polnareff. We had gotten up early to get to the airport, but when we got there, they couldn't give us the plane even though we bought it last night. Polnareff was supposed to get Kakyoin up. I spotted them coming towards us. I noticed that Kkayoin's eyes narrowed at the baby, and he seemed uneasy.
" You okay, Kakyoin? You seem unwell. "
" I'm alright. I just had a bad dream. "
" What happened? "
" A lot. "
I took the hint that he didn't want to talk about it. After arguing for a few more minutes, we boarded the Cessna, and I sat in between Polnareff and Kakyoin. The baby's basket sat on my lap.
" I said this would be dangerous. " Joseph said, putting on the headgear.
" Don't worry about it, Mr. Joestar. No one would use their stand to attack us in the air. We even made sure the plane itself wasn't a stand. "
" Don't jinx us, Pol. "
" I'm far more worried about the old man's flying than an attack from enemy stands. " Jotaro said in the front seat.
I noticed Kkayoin was still staring at the baby. I looked at him and tapped his nose. He looked at me with his brow raised.
" Are you sure you're okay? "
" I promise. "
We went down the runway, and we were soon in the air. We headed away from the town, and sand was on both sides of the plane. The plane ride was boring, and with nothing to look at out of both windows, I decided to go to sleep. I noticed Kakyoin and Polnareff were going to sleep too. I shut my eyes and leaned against Kakyoin when I went to sleep.
( In the Dream World )
When I opened my eyes, I was in a theme park. I was moving, and I realized I was on a Ferris wheel between Polnareff and Kakyoin. It was very colorful and wacky.
" The hell is this? Kakyoin, what is this place? " Polnareff asked.
I looked towards the other side of the cart and saw a dead dog. Its body wasn't decomposing or anything.
" This is the dream I had this morning! It's still continuing! We're inside the dream! " Kakyoin said.
" What? A dream? "
" Yes. "
Polnareff seemed to relax and sat down beside the dead dog, relieved that it was a dream. I still felt on edge.
" So, this is just a dream—what a relief. A dead dog isn't scary if it's just a dream. "
" Polnareff, what are you saying? "
" Dreams are only scary because you think they're scary. Come on, relax. "
" You're wrong! How could we both have the same dream? "
" You've got a point. It's kinda weird, but that could happen in a dream. "
" Polnareff, are you serious? How could we all be in the same dream? Remember that stand I told you all about? Death 13? This might be his or her stand attacking us. Since we are in the dream world and we're vulnerable here. " I told them both.
