" That looks good on you JoJo. "
Jotaro and I were in a clothing shop. He had ordered a new jacket to be made and when it was done it looked exactly like his old one.
" Oh, my. That does look quite good on you. In all my years I've never received such a strange request for strange clothing. But the pleasure was min-"
Jotaro held the money out to her and she was shocked by his interruption.
" Here, we gotta go. Keep the change. "
Jotaro put his hand on my lower back and started pushing me out the door.
" See ya. "
He shut the door to the shop and we started walking away from the clothing store. Jotaro made it his goal to stick by my side so when he wanted to go and grab the new jacket he made me go with him. It was a silent walk as we got to the airport. Anne was supposed to get on the plane to go back home, but we didn't get to see her off in time. When we got to the airport the plane was already walking down the runway, passing us. The wind from the plane blew Jotaro's new coat back and made him look like he was in a movie scene.
' Perfect, a last glimpse of Jotaro in an action-style walk. Her last glance how sad. I'll miss her. '
As the plane was starting to take off we stopped walking and I waved to Anne when I saw her in the window. Joseph bought a Jeep for us and I saw that there were only four seats. I questioned him about it and he said it was all they had. I just shrugged my shoulders and waited for everyone to get in. When they did I hopped on the back and sat on top of the tire.
" I'll sit here since there is nowhere else. It'll be like riding on the back of a tailgate. "
I held on to the railing as Polnareff started driving the car. My hands were holding the bar behind me and I didn't fall off as we continued driving. Fog appeared and started covering everything in sight and as we got further down the road it got thicker. Below us was a town surrounded by the mountain walls of the cliff. Joseph told Polnareff to head down to the town to stay until the fog was gone. As we were driving down I felt Jotaro flinch behind me. I looked at him and his eyes were wide and his guard was immediately put up.
" Everything okay, JoJo? "
" No, it was nothing. "
We got into town and the fog was even thicker down here. I could see the people and the dark silhouettes of buildings. It was something out of a western horror film. Polnareff stopped the car and Kakyoin was the first to get out while I jumped off.
" Let's ask about a hotel at that restaurant over there. "
Before we went in Polnareff started talking.
" But there's a weird quiet about this place. No matter where we've gone, in every other place it's been rowdy and congested. "
" It's probably because of the fog. " Joseph reasoned.
We walked up to the restaurant to see the owner standing at the doorway, waiting for us. His face was blank and his eyes were dead.
" Listen up guys. In Pakistan and the rest of the Islamic world, this is how you greet people. First, you smile and say Assalamu alaikum! "
The man at the doorway was unresponsive and didn't reply back. Then he hit the door sign that read 'closed' and continued to stare us down. It was as if he was a puppet. Joseph finally asked about a hotel, but he still didn't answer. Just continued to stand there. Finally, he spoke.
