The Broken Soldier

Chapter 8

It has been a week since Bucky and Sam left for their mission. Steve has been the only one who has came to see you for a session, although he just came in and ate some chocolate. He was acting strange, he would come in for an hour, eat your chocolate and just read one of your many books without saying a word.

You would just sit there doing some paperwork and organising some files. It was nice to have some company, however it was strange how he didn't talk to you about why he came to see you. He was fine talking to you outside of your office but inside was a different story.

"Steve? You have came to see me every day this week, and yet you haven't said a word to me," You sit across from him as he finishes the last of his chocolate bar.

"I just wanted to keep you company and make sure you wasn't working so hard. Also, I wanted to spend time with you, it makes me happy to see you in your little world," He smiles but you raise your eyebrow at him and he sighs.
"I have nothing else to do. You have some good books and chocolate and I miss having Buck and Sam around."

"When are they coming back?" You ask and he smiles, "He should be landing in 5 minuets. Surprise," He smile and you jump up from the chair. You have been wearing his sweatshirt through out the week over all of your outfits, except from working out. You are currently wearing a long sleeved, white bodysuit with high waisted, beige pants. You are also wearing the small, heart locket that Bucky gifted you. As you are running to the rooftop, you slide Bucky's blue sweater on, the one that he 'borrowed' you. Your hair is in a low bun, with two fringe pieces sticking out.
