{Love Letter - 1}

Hitoshi had very few friends in his department. He gained a few friends from having done so well during the Sports Festival, though he knew those connections would only be temporary. Kaminari, who he reluctantly labeled as his best friend, had seemed to be friends with him for so many other reasons than just his quirk. The blonde had always found ways to rope Shinsou into awfully awkward situations, along with scenarios that no one would ever imagine themselves in. Even during lunch, Denki tended to destroy any bit of peace the purple-haired teenager enjoyed.

This day was no different. After moving from his original table, the blonde slowly found his way over to Shinsou’s. He had been sitting alone, like he does on most days, but he was enjoying his silence. That is, until he felt the chair beside him shift and squeak under someone’s weight.

“Hey, how’s your day been?” The obnoxious voice of his friend asked him as he slung his arm around his shoulder.

Hitoshi sighed, closing the book he had been reading before looking into Kaminari’s golden eyes. “Fine. Yours?”

“It’s been fine. We got a bunch of homework in history, though. Something about something Japan did to the US.” He lets out a long and drawn out sigh, running a hand over his forehead. “I hate that class.”

Shinsou only chuckled before looking down at the cover of the book he was reading. “I don’t care too much for our history class, either. We have normal teachers, though.”

Kaminari looked at the book that sat before his friend, raising his eyebrows in surprise. “Dude, how can you stand to read that garbage. It’s so lame.” He points to the cover of (f/book), looking at the purple-haired boy. “Plus, weren’t you reading a completely different book last week?”

“Yes,” he stated slowly as the bell rang, causing him to slowly stand up, “but I also finished it last week.” He looked over the heads of kids he both knew and didn’t want to know.

Through the chaos, he always looked for you. (F/n) (L/n) of the Support Department. Your quirk was analysation; it allowed you to only have to glance at a body of text, numbers, or any sort of dialogue, and the information would be processed in your mind immediately. It made you one of the most intelligent students in the school, and you were in almost every honor roll for it. You loved to read because each book only took you a couple days, at most, and you loved to apply your quirk to building things and understanding how things are made. The best part is: the information would always be in your mind, meaning there isn’t any way you’d be able to forget something you’ve analyzed.

Of course, Shinsou didn’t know all of that. He only knew what your quirk was, and the fact that you loved to read. Almost every other day, you’d come in the lunch room with a different book, sometimes even multiple. From thrillers, to books of poems, to science fiction, to a literal dictionary. You could never settle on a genre, but Shinsou didn’t mind. He loved to see the book you were reading, and then check out the same book a day after.

You often worked with Hatsume, meaning that he could probably just ask the girl for details on you. Kaminari had spoken to you a few times, though he was never really the one to make it very far with a girl he just met. You had even once told him to “ask for assistance on his costume, or stay out of the Support Department.”

The lunch room was rather empty at this point, and Hitoshi hadn’t caught sight of you at all. His shoulders slouched just a bit as he started walking back towards the cafeteria’s exit. He made his way to his locker, knowing that his study hall was next, and that he had no reason to rush.

Kaminari was walking behind him, practically yelling about some video game that Sero and him had played yesterday. As they reached the taller boy’s locker, Shinsou turned, ready to tell him about how much he genuinely didn’t care. However, the blonde pointed to his friend’s locker with a raised eyebrow. “What’s that?”
