“What is your favorite flower?” You ask Koda while looking over at the boy for a moment. He was sitting on his bed reading a manga that you had recommended to him. It wasn’t too up his alley, but he wanted to give it a chance.

He rested the book against his chest for a moment, thinking about it. “Fire Star Dianthus.” His high pitched voice spoke out.

Your eyes flicked back to his snowy rabbit. “That was quick.” A low laugh rumbled your chest, making the rabbit’s ears twitch. You run your thumb between its eyes and ears before patting it softly on its fuzzy back. “Why those ones? They don’t even have that cool of a meaning.”

The normally quiet boy shrugs his shoulders and sits up. “They just look pretty. What do they mean? I don’t really look that much into the definition of a flower.” He laughs softly.

You lay back on his floor and look up at the ceiling. “They’re closely related to carnations, and those mean ‘flower god’, or ‘God of flowers.’” You state, looking up as you feel his bunny sniffing at your legs.

He only hums before looking over at you. It had been about a month since you two met on the roof of the school, and it had been an every morning occurrence for the both of you. Aizawa eventually became aware of it, but knew that there would be no goofing off. As long as the two of you had gotten an adequate amount of sleep, he was fine with it. Koda was quite glad he was, too. See, the shy boy was always too nervous to ever really tell you about how he really felt in blunt words. Instead, he would text you and ask if it was okay if you could hang around him more often. He was rather surprised when you jumped on the offer.

Even after that month, you never sat down to clarify if the two of you were official or not. In a sense, it was comfortable this way. There was no significant tie, and you didn’t have to worry about him turning around and breaking your heart. Though, he seemed too nice to ever do something like that. He had even admitted to you that he was too shy to even talk about his lack of a love life with you.

However, you really liked Koda. He was the one boy who you could turn to at any given point, and everything would be okay. You could cry to him for hours about something that happened in your favorite show, and he would be absolutely okay with it. It made you think that he was the sweetest teenager in the class--which he undoubtedly was. Being in a relationship would probably be the best thing to ever happen to you.

You knew that he would never have the courage to admit to wanting a relationship, so you take charge and initiate the conversation yourself. “Hey, Koji? I have a question.” Making sure to ask the question softly as to not spark any worry in him, your eyes travel from the plain ceiling to his curious eyes. He doesn’t speak, only sits up with a cocked head. “I hate to try and rush things, but are you comfortable with the pace we’re going right now? I know it might seem a little random for me to ask, but I was just curious.” The sound of your voice was smooth as you spoke.

Almost instantly, the boy’s face reddened. It was sort of comical, though his response was important to you. You allowed him to be flustered for a moment before he finally collected himself, looking over at you with a soft smile. “I hadn’t really thought about it much, to be honest. Of course, I hope that doesn’t sound like an insult, it’s just--” he pushes the tips of his index fingers together, “I never thought that I’d get this far with anyone.”

The small comment made his cheeks stay a gentle pink. It made you smile to yourself, liking how bashful he was over the silliest things. “Why not?” You ask, slowly standing. His bunny hops away and into a small green box. His answer is silent. Just a simple bob of his head before he covers his face bashfully. “I think you’re one of the sweetest guys in the class. You’ve got such a good head on your shoulders, and you’re the only one who’s really shown any interest in me. Obviously, that’s not the only reason why I like you, but, you know.” You trail off, sitting down on his bed as far from him as possible. On the surface, he wasn’t a very touchy person, but you hadn’t ever asked for anything of that sort.
