{Dorms - 1}
“Hell yes!” You shout, your eyes beaming as you look at the soon to be room arrangement. You were located on the second floor with two of your closest girl friends; Uraraka and Mina. The boys rooms that were across the hall from you were Shoji, Kirishima, and Bakugou. You were kind of glad that this was the arrangement, especially because your room was right next to Ochaco’s and across the hall from Kirishima’s. Your teacher had just showed you all the chart so you know where to be that afternoon. The whole class had nodded in excitement and went to find people who were also on their floor.
You and Uraraka met eyes, bright smiles on your face. “See you there, (Y/n)!” She looks to you with rosy cheeks, running over to meet up with her group.
After everyone had moved in, most of the students went through the rooms and looked at them, except Bakugou and Tsu, which you didn’t find all that odd. Once the group got to your room, you rubbed the back of your neck shyly and looked over the eyes that met yours. “It’s nothing special, nothing too off from Iida’s, guys.” You say, letting the door swing open slowly. Some of the boys who couldn’t be bothered with this whole thing looked up from their phones and curiously took a look around.
You hadn’t done anything special to the room, but had put up a few posters from your favorite video games and television shows. Your bed was mediocre sized, pale (f/c) sheets and blankets covering it up to the white pillow. At the foot of the bed was a large oak trunk filled to the brim with extra blankets, sheets, pillows and covers. On the floor before your bed was a white, fuzzy rug with a netted garbage bin on the corner closest to the head of your bed. From across the room, there was a small desk with a laptop and light, along with with a drawing tablet accompanied by a pen. To the left of is was a bookshelf filled with stories from varying genres, even a few kids books that hold sentimental value can be found among the mess. Your windows had been covered with thick white curtains covered with large cherry blossoms. It casts a faint light throughout the room. Overall, your dorm radiated comfortable upon the group.
“Like I said, nothing special.” You laugh, looking over to Uraraka as she wanders about the room. A few boys had entered, and at this point, Sero had Mineta in a sort of cocoon to keep him from perving around. You had nodded a polite thank you to him.
Kirishima smiled at you widely, pointing to a poster of (f/video game), his eyes wide with excitement. “I love this game! I can’t believe you like it, too!” He said, causing you to blush bashfully.
“Hey, (Y/n)?” Said a girl’s voice from behind you. You hummed and turned, meeting Ochaco’s eyes. She tapped the tips of her pointer fingers together, looking shy. “Do you think we could talk when we’re done looking at dorms?” She asks you.
You tilt your head slightly and smile. “Of course!” Her eyes lift just barely as a tiny smile comes across her face.
The next room you saw was Uraraka’s, and you complimented her for her simple style. She said that it hadn’t been intentional, just that she didn’t have a lot of stuff to bring over. Though, when she saw Shoji’s room, she announced that the emptiness of his dorm made her room feel cramped. You, along with the rest of the class, even Shoji, chuckled softly.
The night had been filled with laughs and a few good cries because of a meeting outside with Tsu. Things seemed to be a lot different between the group, not as though you were all students at the same high school, but a family. Of course, these dorms weren’t exactly built for the best reason, but it’s nice to know that you’d be able to spend the rest of the year with friends that meant a lot to you. Ochaco especially, because the both of you happened to go the same school before UA. From junior high to now, you had become best friends, constantly talking about how you were to get into the Academy. Her quirk had always been one of those that was looked upon as amazing, and you looked up to her for such a long time. Your quirk, levitation, was quite similar to hers, though wasn’t praised in the same way. It had been such a simple, common quirk, but you trained harder to make it your own. Lifting heavier objects, trying to lift more than one object at a time, and so much more. Uraraka had helped you with it, too, volunteering to help you out with the control of your power.
