{Apocalyptic - 1}

"Dude, how many times do I have to tell you? I'm awful at those types of games." I say to Sero as he talks about the motorcycle racing games the arcade has. It was the kinds with the big fake racing bike that followed your movements and allowed you to control the racer through the gas, brakes, and handlebars on the fake bike.

He only snickers and looks over to Bakugou, who was leading our group. Kirishima and I fall behind them a little bit, looking over to one another and talking about the game we're going to play. "Did you hear about the new zombie apocalypse game that they installed the other day? Mina told me about it." The red haired boy asks with excitement.

Confused, I shake my head and raise a blonde eyebrow. "What zombie game?" I can tell Sero and Bakugou are listening in as he speaks, taking barely noticeable glances back at us.

"Dude, it's so cool! It's one where you have to sit in a small booth with a partner. There's this huge screen in the booth, along with fake guns. I heard that you play as two injured people gunning down zombies. Whoever kills the most zombies before dying or running out of ammo gets to put their name on the leaderboard." He concludes, excitement in his eyes.

I take a moment to think about it, wondering how I'm going to fair in such a video game. "Do you know the name of it?" I ask Kirishima, having him look over to me with a huge smile.

As he thinks, it falters and he rubs the back of his head. "Actually, no, I forgot. It'll probably be pretty popular, though, since it was just installed not that long ago."

"Oi, would you two hurry it up? We're almost there." We hear from the front of the group, which happened to be a few meters away from us now. The boy and I rushed to catch up with them, given that the tone of Bakugou's voice was laced with rage and we didn't want to get on his bad side before even arriving at the arcade.

Sero and Kirishima wanted to try the game out first, and they did very well, according to their standards. It was supposed to be a sort of horror and shooting game, and I could hear the screams of both of the boys every once in a while. It was always followed by laughter, though, and when they came out, they looked like they had the time of their lives. "Dude, we did awful." The red haired boy says, his eyes looking towards Bakugou and I. "The scores in there are crazy. We didn't even get in the top ten."

"What? No, we're getting that number one spot. Let's go, Shitty Hair." The hot-head boy next to me seemed angry, grabbing Kirishima by the arm. They quickly went back into the small booth to get a better high score, his partner not even getting a moment to say something back to him.

"Pfft, wish them luck." Says a boy from behind me.

Sero looks over, as do I, with an eyebrow raised as he stuffs his hands into his orange hoodie. "What do you mean?"

The boy laughs and crosses his arms. "The person who holds the high score on that game is a regular here. She is crazy good at those video games, and actually holds the number one spot on more than ten of the games." The pudgy kid gestured around the room.

"Did you say she?" I ask, causing Sero to bring his hand to his forehead with a satisfying slap. "What kind of girl is a regular at an arcade?"

The odd-elbowed boy gives me a glare, not paying attention as the boy in front of us gestures to a girl just coming into the arcade. My jaw dropped slightly as I take her in. She holds a slightly beat up skateboard under her arm. Her (h/c) hair sticks out from a black beanie, reaching down to her (f/c) shirt. Her legs were covered with black leggings, and she wore (s/f/c) converse high tops. She looked and dressed like a stoner, but it seemed to fit the look of an average gamer-girl. "That's the regular. Her name's (Y/n)." He says, walking away as the girl starts to come closer.
