{Daydream - 1}
Upon arriving at your first day of high school at UA, you were met with an absurd crowd. Yes, your class had been rambunctious and gave you a headache faster than the speed of light, but they were also a really cocky bunch. Some of them described themselves to be the next best thing to a pro hero. You loved the confidence to a point, but it eventually got annoying. Though, a few people in the class were quite amusing, such as the blonde haired boys, Bakugou and Aoyama, and the manly red haired Kirishima. They constantly talked about how they are going to do amazing in the class, and the quirk apprehension test had proved that.
So, as the next day began, All Might announced that he had a test for us to see how we would react in a villain situation, what he called combat training. Your name had been chosen with Aoyama’s, both of you having to be heroes, and you weren’t mad about it at all. He had looked over to you with a huge smile on his face, his eyes shining as if there was a spotlight on him at all times. “Can’t wait for you to help me win.” His voice is full of confidence, causing you to smile.
After watching Midoryia and Uraraka versus Bakugou and Iida, along with Shoji and Todoroki versus Ojiro and Hagakure, the bar had been set. Both of the matches proved that there were amazing future heroes working with you. Watching their quirks in action made your’s seem almost silly.
Soon enough, it had been your and Aoyama’s turn to go against Sato and Koda. They were to protect the weapon while you and your partner captured it. You both stand in front of the building awaiting All Might to start to clock. “So, what is your quirk again?” The boy asks, not even turning to look at you when he speaks.
You look down at your feet as you walk a little closer to the boy. “Feather footing.” The name of your quirk sounds ridiculous when said aloud, and you fidget with the sleeve of your uniform. “It allows me to walk across any surface, and as long as any part of my foot is planted on the ground, I can be mute. Not even my breathing makes a sound.” Aoyama looks at you curiously, something changing in his expression to make him seem sad. Your eyes dart to the door once you hear All Might scream through the device in your ear. The thought of actually getting to use your quirk while in this sort of test was beyond exciting to you. Both of you ran into the building, though you paused and told him to do the same. He listens and looks at you. “So, your quick is that naval laser thing, right? Well, I’ve got a plan to help try and distract the villains.” He didn’t look convinced, as if he wanted to come up with the winning plan. With a sigh, you decide to make it more appealing to him. “On the plus side, they would have to pay attention to you.”
With that, from behind his shining glasses, he perks up. “Oh, please, do go on.” He turns to face you as you hurriedly whisper your plan to him.
“We need to get into that room. From Uraraka and Iida’s fight, I can tell that the room is white. The floors are tile, too. If you were to set off your laser in the room, it would create a distraction for the villains so we can capture the weapon. I know that the brightness of your laser mixed with the intense white hue of the room, it’ll practically blind them. It helps that the room isn’t terribly big, and there are pillars and windows. All we need to do is keep them both in the room and get us up there without getting caught.” You pondered, tapping your chin with your knuckle. It then hit you, your eyes lighting up as you face the boy. “When we do this, you’re not going to have a lot of time. Make it as big as you can and aim for a window, okay? But try not to hurt your stomach, because we don’t want to take that risk.” You concluded, Aoyama nodding in understanding as you both ran off to start the battle.
Luckily, both of the boys on the opposing team played defense. Physical altercation wasn’t something that happened often with your quirk, so you were almost beaten up pretty bad when Sato discovered you. By a strike of luck, Aoyama’s laser seemed to do exactly what you thought it would. The two boys were taken off guard, giving you just enough time to maneuver around them and get your hands on the weapon. You had to take quite a leap to get there, your hips twisting in the air to avoid Koda’s desperate reach in an attempt to stop you. Aoyama witnessed the whole thing, left staring as his laser ceased.
