I crumpled the note into a ball, fitting perfectly into my fist as an unbelievable laugh tumbled out of my lips. I stepped fully into the room and went straight for Amber, giving her little room to as much as breathe.

"You know I'm losing count on the number of times I tell you this is not some fucking cliche high school story." My calmness scared her, I could see.

"So you stooped so low again? You planted this note in my locker, did you think I wouldn't recognize it wasn't his handwriting? I don't know what you said to him to lure him here but gosh, how are you the head girl? Head girls are supposed to be smart where are your brains? If you'll try to separate us, at least be a little cunning about it. You made me figure you out so easily." I didn't even breathe as I spat the words at her.

"I'll give it to you though, I was really hurt when I saw you..." I couldn't bring myself to say it. Anger bubbled in me.

"How dare you kiss my boyfriend?! How dare you throw yourself at him...you know what? Let's just end everything here. Right now." I pulled away from her face, giving her a chance to breathe.

I looked at a surprised Nathaniel and started.
"Nathaniel, Amber wants you so much she even forgets she's a girl and has to act like one. She pines for you like nothing else and is ever ready to stoop to any level just to have you." Nathaniel flinches.

"And I..." I trailed off, my shoulders hunching in weariness. He softened as he watched me.

"I like you like I've never liked anything before. The feelings you evoke, they...they are inexpressible. I look at you everyday and each day my feelings for you intensify. I want you all the way, all of you, I take you as you are. It's not an option." I blink out of the confession and look away from him, my composure regained.

"Is it she or me? You choose and settle this right now!" My voice strong, I said it as loud as I could manage without letting my voice quiver.

"What the hell?!" Nathaniel growled in anger.

"Choose head boy!" I said sternly and saw in the corner of my eye as he shook with rage.

"Of course it's you! Dammit it'll always be you!" A shudder ran through me at his words. It was silent. I turned to amber and was blinded by the pain on her face.

"Get out." I stated simply. She stood watching Nathaniel with tears glinting in her eyes.

"I said, out!" I didn't care that I was disrespecting her. She'd already reduced herself to anything but a head girl.

She glared at me with so much hatred and stormed out of the room.

Eyes turned sharply to Nathaniel before my arms jutted out, closing the small distance between us.
"Nathaniel..." I cried softly before I reached him and he bent to gently take me into his arms.
