Famished. That was what I was. And I believe my companions shared the same views as me, that is if the sudden noticeable haste to their steps was any indication. We were literally dashing towards the direction of the diner.

Remind me to never have cookies and milk for breakfast again.

Tugging at my hand and urging me forward although I had clearly stated that I could walk fast on my own was Levi. Apparently I was walking at a snail's pace and since he didn't want to leave me behind all miserable and hungry-his words not mine- he had to assign himself the task of being my personal aider.

Huffing and grunting in annoyance, I allowed myself to be steered by him, following and trusting him to lead the way since I had realized he wasn't showing any signs of resigning from his task.

The rest of the crew(feels weird saying it but—oh well) were just hot on our tail, everyone wanting to enter and get something into their system as soon as possible.

Well almost everyone. I mean he was walking equally as hurriedly as we were but he wasn't showing any signs of being hungry.

First off, he was busily tapping relentlessly on his phone, whatever it was on the device holding his undivided attention.

Also, he didn't have the hungry man look on his face. What? Everyone did. You mean to say your face never changed even in the slightest when you were hungry? Okay then. But mine did.

Whenever I was hungry, my lips became dry no matter how much I would wet it with saliva or water in general. A scowl automatically settled on the already dry lips and my left eye kept on twitching.

Weird but it was true.

And the others too had it. I mean not in the exact way but you could see they were wearing their hungry look. Only Growl—sorry, Nathaniel seem to not have the look on.

Which led to only two conclusions. Either he wasn't hungry or he was in fact, but was doing a good job at hiding it. Either way, I couldn't careless.

Swinging the diner's door open, Levi gestures for me to enter first and I do. The others follow suit and I watch Daphne dash past me to a booth in a corner and settles down. Hot on her tail is Adrian who slides beside her, Levi looking around for a waiter I guess, proceed to sit by Adrian.

He must be really hungry.

Shaking my head, I sit beside Tyler after he's settled in front of Daphne. The head boy blindly perks his ass on the seat beside me as he continues giving all his attention to the whatever on his phone.

"Where's the waiter? God I'm starving." Levi complains and I roll my eyes. "You're asking the wrong people. If you may have forgotten, we came in here together-"

"Now is not the time for your smart mouth to spew smart ass retorts. We're hungry here!" Adrian cuts me off with a groan. Daphne and Tyler chuckle while Levi continues looking around, ignoring me entirely. I pout and Tyler says.
