Nathaniel's ego was bruised. For the first time his friends had gone against him. For the first time he didn't have them following his every command. And it wasn't because of me. It was because he was being unreasonable and unfair.

He didn't know that though.

To him, it was my fault that his friends objected to not going to the movies like he'd insisted. Once again, I was putting his friends in danger which was starting to irk me to no end. Irked, I was but nonchalant I would stay. At least I could pretend to.

Today was a Saturday. I was awoken by Aiden's phone call. He'd called just to check up on me but we'd ended up talking for two hours. "Alright. My regards to everyone." I concluded and listened to his response on the other end.

Satisfied with the affirmative response, I hanged up after exchanging goodbyes with him. I looked to the other side of the room to see Daphne giggling at her phone...or more like something on her phone.

I rolled my eyes. I was sure it was Gabriel she was giggling over. "Oh giggle all you want. I'm sure you wouldn't be able to when the boys find out about him." I sounded mean but it was the only way to get her to tell the boys.

A twinge of guilt ate at my inside when the smile left her eyes and she sighed with a worried look. She nibbled on her bottom lip and sat up. "I know I have to tell them but I'm scared. They would disapprove especially since he's their friend."

I walked over and sat beside her. "Now listen, they do not own you. You're old enough to make your own decisions you only choose to inform them about it because they're your best friends and they deserve to know what happens in your life. And that's all it is to it. You're not seeking permission to be with him. You're just telling them you are with him."

She sighed again. "But their opinions matter."

I nodded. "They do."

"And they're going to say they don't like it."

I nodded again. "No doubt they will."

A frustrated look crossed her features. "Then I would have to break up with him!"

I glared at her. "Did you not hear a word I uttered? They not liking it doesn't mean you have to break up with him."

"But-"

"Just tell them before they find out on their own. It'll soften the blow at least. Then leave me to do the rest." Those empty headed walking testosterone needed some tutoring and it would be mean of me to deny them one, now wouldn't it?

The boys had insisted we left for the movies in the evening. We didn't have a problem with that. We stayed in bed for the greater part of the day watching movies. When dusk rolled around, we started getting ready.
