A whole week of just the athletic teams on campus. That's what I was looking forward to. I was lucky and my roommates were on the team too. So we had a whole week of no classes just to hang out and get to know each other.

What made things even better is that a group of the boys lived on the floor above us. That first night we all went to the boys rooms after dinner to play video games. The other guys were cool. One was a pretty boy who we all knew was a player, but my roommate instantly fell for his "charms", one was small and a little nerdy looking but funny as hell. And then there was Mark. He was exactly as I expected him to be. He was goofy, but not aware that he was insanely hot.

Those first few days we were an inseparable group and it was a blast. The guys were huge pranksters and would constantly break into our rooms and wreck havoc. We also found out a few things about each other. Mark had a girlfriend that went to school an hour from us. I was a little disappointed, but we were just friends. So I tried not to care too much. When things got a bit hectic between the rooms I would go exploring the campus. It was beautiful especially at night.

One night as I walked out of the dorms, I ran into Mark.

"What are you coming back from tonight?" I asked

"My parents took Rebecca and I out for dinner. She had to go back school tonight though. Where are you going so late?" He asked wiggling his eyebrows

I burst out laughing " Nothing scandalous, sorry to disappoint. Everyone is getting wild out there. I needed a break and am going for a walk. Want to come?"

" fuck it why not" he said as we fell into step off to explore in the dark.

After 'ten minutes of walking around we found a hillside on the edge of campus. It was hidden while overlooking the main road.

We both plopped down and stared up at the sky.

"So what happened to the bf from home?" He asked

"Ughhhhhh" I groaned " I should've ended that forever ago. I never wanted to do long distance with him. So he just became someone to pass the time with. Shitty I know, but it's what it was."

"I get it. Hopefully it made the break up easyish"

"I don't think he has fully accepted it, but he hasn't left home yet. So maybe once he starts school it'll be different. I feel obligated to respond to his texts still. I can't just ghost him yet. "

"Yea that would be a bitchy thing to do"

"Mmhmm "

We sat there in our own thoughts for a little while longer. Until I felt him poor my side. I yelped and tried to squirm away when he poked me some more until it was a full blown tickle fight.

After about 5 minutes of yelling " you're gonna make me pee!" He finally subdued me with my arms pinned over my head and him straddling me.

We stayed there for a second panting and staring at each other while the reality of our position dawned on us. He slowly untangled from me and laughed off an apology.

"You shouldn't have started trying to wrestle me" he gruffly chuckled.

"Ha yea I'll remember that for next time you try something"

With that he stood up, pulling me up with him, and we walked back to our dorm.
