The first year of having Emma flew by in a whirl of exhaustion and just being busy. Between her, work and school, I had next to no free time and spent most of it when Becca, just so that we had someone else to talk to. The shitty thing having Emma so early in life, was that all of our friends were still living the college life of drinking and partying. Neither of us had time for that anymore and ended up relishing our time with each other. We hadn't ventured into the romantic side of things, but we really did feel like a real family. Honestly it wasn't half bad.
Emma's first birthday rolled around and we invited everyone we knew to come celebrate. Rebecca and I had our own celebration the night before. My parents took Emma for the night and we got a bottle of wine and sat down to decorate the apartment for the party the next day.
After a couple hours, we both collapsed on the couch and admired out handiwork. Rebecca topped off our glasses and sat down next to me.
"Cheers!" She said holding out her glass, "We've survived our first year of parenting without killing each other or Emma!"
I couldn't help but laugh and clinked my glass against hers, "We did it. I had my doubts at first. I thought you were for sure going to take me out." I joked.
"I only kept you around so that I could go out without Emma randomly" she laughed.
"Ahhh I see that's all I'm good for." I fake pouted.
"Eventually you got to start giving me a new reason to keep you around" she joked and filled up our glasses again.
"Eh I'll think of something when the time comes." I shrugged with a grin.
She just laughed into her glass. "I had forgotten how confident you could be when you wanted to be"
"Yea I only save my charm for Emma. She is the only one who truly appreciates it."
"I've always appreciated it." She said softly "I just haven't seen it in such a long time." She rested her head on my shoulder as she said this. It felt as though the air in the room was slowly changing. For well over a year, we have done well to keep out distance, but tonight was starting to feel a little different and it didn't help that our favorite buffer was on the other side of town.
I looked down at Rebecca, "yea I've had to tone it down. Emma is already a fan, so I don't need to do much to get her to like me" I softly chuckled
Rebecca looked up at me. "What about me? Can I get some of the Marky Mark Charm" her eyes darkened with lust.
I put my arm around her shoulders and kissed her forehead. " I think I can do that." I tilted her face up to me a little more before bending down to plant a soft and tender kiss on her lips. I pulled back just enough. She pulled herself up. I pulled her into my lap and moved her so that she was straddling me. She put her arms around my neck and pulled me in for a kiss. I couldn't help but deepen the kiss. I was doing everything I could do go slow. It had been forever since I had done anything like this. She moved to grind herself on me and instantly I was rock hard. I pulled away for a second.
"Are you sure about this?" I asked
"Yes!" She gasped "I need this"
I wasn't about to say no. I sat up with her in my arms and carried her into the bedroom as she kissed down my neck and started to nibble on my earlobe.
I sat her down on the bed and she didn't waste any time pulling my sweats down and taking me in her hands. She stroked me for a second I closed my eyes and couldn't control the groan that escaped my mouth. The next thing he knew, she was swirling her tongue around his tip. She sank her mouth down and started to bob her head up and down it's length. I grabbed fistfuls of her hair and watched her. I was starting to get close to finishing before I pulled her off.
