Sophie looked up and saw Keefe. "I saw her." She whispered. "Saw who?" Keefe asked. "Kath. She hurt Austin and Kara." Sophie said, pointing to her step-sisters. "Evil." Biana said, getting up. "Wake the others. We have to escape." Sophie said, looking around the dark room. When they were all awake, Sophie beckoned them to follow her. "There!" she whispered. They were halfway to a window when someone said, "-but why did you tell her that we're the Neverseen?!"
"I can do whatever I want!" Then they heard a melder. The group quickly hid under the stairs, blending in with the shadows. Kath and the hooded person walked down the dark hallway, both angry. Sophie gasped and said, "I left Austin and Kara!"
"Psh. Who cares about them?" Fitz asked. "True." Biana agreed. "Still. Kath is dangerous." Sophie argued. "Okay okay." Keefe sighed. They crept back to the dark room and saw Kara and Austin still laying on the floor. They dragged them back under the stairs. "Now what?" Linh asked in a shaky voice. "I...I don't know." Sophie said, her mind blank as ever. "How about we get out?" Tam asked, rolling his eyes. "Right." Sophie said.
She looked around and saw a loose brick. Sophie tugged at it came out. She tripped on her own foot, revealing herself, Just when Kath was walking by.
