"y/n, it's time." erwin said.
"goodbye, mom."
"goodbye, y/n." i leave my mother behind and walk out of the door that erwin held open for me. outside, a carriage was waiting for me.
"hop in." erwin said. this time, i opened the carriage door for the blond man. it looked like he had trouble climbing in due to losing an arm, so i pulled him into the cart. "thank you." he whispered to me.
i looked over. sitting on the opposite side of me was captain levi. he didn't bother to speak to me or to help erwin in the carriage. he simply looked out the window and watched as we pulled away from my home.
"y/n, i must warn you of a captain we have in the survey corps." levi sighs and shakes his head. "their name is hange and they... well.. they really like their titans."
"don't be so nice about someone who isn't here to hear you talk about them." levi interrupts. the captain looks over at me and decides to speak to me. "hange is a weirdo. they wear ugly glasses and love kissing titans."
"levi... y/n, hange is not that bad. they are honestly a sweet person. although they have an extroverted personality, they are also very kind to those they have close bonds with. i believe you would like them."
"i'm sure i would." i say, looking out at the city. i watch as i pass the many shops i had once visited.
"i'm sorry this is so sudden." erwin says, causing my attention to snap back to them men sitting in front of me.
"it's alright. this was a delightful surprise." i say smiling at the blond man. "by the way, you told me that i would be in captain levi's squad." i say, looking at the raven haired man sitting beside him.
"yes, y/n. that is correct." erwin says.
"who is in squad levi?" i ask.
"why don't you tell her, levi?" erwin requests. levi sighs again and looks over at me.
"there's a bunch of brats in my squad. a dumb titan shifter named eren, a bookworm named armin, a horse face named jean, a fatty named sasha, a dummy named conny, and an exceptional soldier named mikasa." i snicker as he makes fun of all his squad but one person. "don't laugh at me, cadet. i'm your captain."
"right, sorry."
erwin shakes his head at the small man and looks back over to me. "sorry, he's not the brightest." he said, whisper-yelling over at me.
