"y/n!" i hear someone yell on the other side of my door. still getting dressed, i hold the door closed with one hand and use the other to pull up my pants.
"what!"
"let me in!"
"no, i'm still getting dressed." i say, pulling my pants up all the way.
"let me in when you're at least decent." i button up my shirt and open the door.
"eren, what is so urgent?" i ask the boy standing in front of me.
"it's the captain. you're three minutes late already."
"late for what?"
"everybody's cleaning today. you didn't know?"
"no, i guess i wasn't paying attention."
"okay, just finish up and get down here. he's kind of mad that your late."
"right." he exits the room. i close the door and tie up my hair. i buckle up the straps on my body and run down to the foyer of hq.
"cadet!" i hear the short man shout, "why are you so late?"
"i overslept." i lie.
"i hope it was worth it because now you have to make me some tea."
"fine." i whimper. i walk into the kitchen and pour some water into a kettle. i heat up the stove and boil the water. i grabbed some tea leaves and a tea mug. i pour the water on top of the tea leaves and let it sit for a couple minutes.
i walk to where the corporal was giving instructions. i tap on his shoulder and his annoyed grey eyes look over to me. "tea." i say, handing him the cup.
he points to a closet with cleaning supplies in them. "go clean the cafeteria. i bet sasha left crumbs all over the place."
i grab a broom, mop, and a towel. i wipe off the tables and crumbs fell to the floor. i used the broom to get rid of the crumbs and then mopped the disgusting floor. "i signed up to fight, not to clean." i whisper to myself.
i bring the cleaning equipment back to the closet, but the man behind me stops me. "what do you think you're doing?"
"i finished cleaning the cafeteria." i say. he looks at me like i'm the dumbest human on the planet.
