i wake up with the sun casting down on the room i was sleeping in. i didn't recognize the room i was in. i tried to get up, but a pair of arms held me tightly. i looked back and saw the corporal looking straight at me.
"morning brat." he mumbled. i could feel my face heating up and just mumbled back a hello. he brushed my hair out of my face and looked down at me.
"what?" i asked.
"nothing." he said, pecking my cheek. i looked over at the clock and noticed that i had thirty minutes until breakfast started.
"levi, i have to get ready." i said, trying to pull away from him. he was stronger than i was, so i couldn't make it out unless he let go.
"fine." he eventually said, taking his arms off of my waist. i walk out of his room and then walk to my room, which was right in front of his. i grabbed my clothes, and went to take a shower.

i walk into the cafeteria and sit down at the table with mikasa, eren, armin, sasha, connie, and jean. they stop talking and look at me.
"how do you feel?" mikasa asks.
"i'm great!" i say, biting down on the bread in my hand.
"i tried to visit you last night," sasha says, "but you weren't in the infirmary. i went to your room, and you weren't there either." i slowly picked up my spoon and ate from my bowl of soup.
"that's odd." i say, acting like i had no idea where i was.
"come on, y/n. where were you?" connie asks. mikasa stares me and down and eren raises his eyebrows.
"i know you weren't with any of us." eren says, looking at the people sitting at his table.
"i was doing an experiment with hanji." i lie.
"no, hanji was taking care of patients in the infirmary." jean said. "i visited you that day. they were there." i mentally face palm and try to think of another excuse.
"i know what's going on." connie laughs, "you were definitely doing it with with the corporal." i spit out my water and look up to connie.
"i did not!" i say, waving my hand in his face.
"prove to me that you weren't." he said. i opened my mouth to speak, but a voice behind me beat me to it.
"cadet, we don't need you spitting water all over the place." connie's eyes widen and the table goes silent. i look back at the corporal standing behind me.
"captain," mikasa starts, "do you know where y/n was last night?" she asks.
"with me." he says in a boring tone. connie slaps his hand over his face and i look down at my lap in embarrassment.
"why?" mikasa asked. she had no fear of the corporal.
"because she needed to rest. stop asking me questions." he said, turning away from mikasa and going to make himself some tea.
mikasa looked over at me. "y/n, you didn't have to lie about that. it's clear to me nothing happened. i mean, you are still able to walk." eren snickers and connie's mouth is wide open.
"y/n, it seems the corporal really cares about you." armin smiles. i nod and feel my face heating up.
"i ship it!" sasha exclaims.
"they're probably already together." connie said. "you are together, right?" i looked up at the boy and back down in my lap. my brows furrowed and i tried to think of an answer.
"i don't know." i whispered. sasha gasps and almost falls back in her seat.
"we have to find out." just then, the corporal walks by our table again to leave the cafeteria.
"captain!" jean yells, grabbing his attention.
"what, brat! i have work to do!" he walks over and glares at eren.
"are you and y/n together?" mikasa asks. she was the only one at the table that didn't tremble at the captain's presence. he looks down at me and the looks at each soldier at my table.
"this brat is mine." he said, pointing at me. sasha cheers and connie giggles. i look back at levi and a small smile formed at the corners of his mouth. "you need to stop by my office when you're done here." he said, loud enough for the whole table to hear.
he left the cafeteria and the whole table was looking at me, giggling. "why are you guys laughing?" i asked. the skin on my face felt like it was burning at this point.
"i hope your able to walk to lunch later." eren snickered. i cross my arms look the other way, trying to ignore their sexual comments.
"i will do just fine." i replied.
"so, y/n." armin spoke up, "after you do.... uhm that with the corporal, i was thinking we could continue that book." he said, looking into my eyes.
"of course, armin. i'd be glad to." i smiled.
"armin, i think she'll be too tired to read that book after she gets out of the corporal's office." eren said, trying to hold back giggles. i rolled my eyes and armin nodded his head.
"we don't have to read it today." he said.
"but i want to." i pouted. "i actually liked that book."
"okay," armin said, "if you can come to my room by yourself we will read it."
"what are you saying armin?" i asked, squinting my eyes.
"i'm saying that as long as your still able to walk then we can read it." eren spit out his water and patted armin's shoulder, laughing at him making a sexual comment.
i bite the inside of my cheek, realizing that these people will make fun of me for being with the corporal for the rest of my life.
