"name and business." the voice calls on the other side of the door.

"f/n l/n, sir. you asked me to come see you."

"come in." i open the door and shut it behind me. levi was sat at his desk doing paper work.

"you wanted to see me." i say.

"yes, you can sit." he says, pointing at the chair in front of his desk. i sit in the seat and i watch as his pen scratches the paperwork he was writing on.

"i'm sorry if you wanted our relationship to be private," he starts, "i probably should have asked before telling those kids."

"it's alright, levi. it was going to come out some time." he nods his head and stops writing.

"we do have a relationship, don't we?"

"of course, levi." i smile. he reaches his hand over his desk. i place my hand in his and our fingers intertwine.

the corners of his mouth turn upwards and i watch as the corporal smiles. butterflies bubbled up in my stomach. levi let's go of my hand and grabs a kettle. he pours the tea into two different cups. "one for me and one for you." he said handing me one of the mugs.

"thank you!" i smile, sipping from the cup. the tea warmed my mouth and the flavor rolled over my tongue. levi's tea was always really good. "so were you going to do paperwork all day?" i ask.

"i don't have much of a choice." he said, picking up his pen again.

"i don't know if i want to be a captain." i say quietly.

"why's that?"

"well, all that paperwork for one. also, on the last mission, i couldn't even look at reiner's titan without passing out. i don't know if i'm fit for the job." he stops writing for a second, and places the pen down on his desk.

"if you really think you cannot handle it, then you don't have to do it. but y/n, i know that you're strong enough to do it. it's dangerous, but you're in the survey corps." i nod and place the tea cup down on his table.

"levi, i think i'm just aiming too high right now. i still have so much to learn. when i'm ready, i'll become a captain." he nods his head and continues to fill out his paperwork.

"you don't have to stay, y/n. i won't be paying attention to you anyways." he said.

"okay, armin said he would read this book with me." i said, getting up from my seat.
