6 Years Later
i watch as levi flips the sign on the tea shop from open to closed. "daddy!" a small child runs out of the shop.
"what?"
"look!" he shows levi a tea cup he had painted on. levi smiles down at the boy and looks at the design he painted.
"i like it." he said, leading the boy back inside. "where's your mother?" the boy points over to me. i was cleaning out some dishes. "y/n, do you mind putting erwin to sleep?" levi asks me.
"okay," i finish drying a plate and i walk over to erwin. i hold his hand and lead him up some stairs to our house. i open the door to his room and lead him inside.
i undress the clothes he had on and i pull his pajamas on his body. he crawls into the bed and i tuck him in. "mommy.." he says as i walk away. "can you tell me a story?"
i turn back around and sit on his bed. me and levi have now been married for five years. we have successfully gotten rid of the titans and we now live in the walls in peace. erwin is four years old. we named him after our commander who has passed away. "what kind of story do you want to hear?" i ask.
"i want a happy story." i look over at his small bookshelf and pick out a book to read to him. i was never great at making up stories in my head, and erwin is still too young to hear the horrible stories from the survey corps.
i hear the door creak open. levi pokes his head in. "hello, daddy!" erwin smiles. levi walks in the room and sits beside me.
"is mommy reading a book to you?"
"she's about to."
"what book is it." i show him the title and he nods. levi opens the book and scans the first page while i read it out loud to erwin. he repositions himself in his bed and pulls the blankets closer to his face. his eyes close and he soon falls asleep.
i face left and put my finger up to my lips. i place the book back on its shelf and tip toe out of his room. levi closes the door behind us and we walk down the hall to our room.
i quickly change and hop in the bed. levi comes in beside me a few moments later. he pulls me closer to his chest and plays with my hair. i wrap my arms around his body and he kisses the top of my head.
"love you, y/n."
"love you more levi."
"how old are you?" he chuckles. i bring my head away from his chest and face him. his grey eyes were no longer hateful. he smiled more often and his temper wasn't as bad. i peck his cheeks and lips.
he cups my cheeks in his hands and he kisses me. "good night, y/n."
