"I do remember the swing in your step,

Life of the party, you're showing off again"

Hand in hand, Jack led Evelyn over to the fire where their friends were sitting. Corbyn greeted the couple and handed Jack and her a drink. Side by side, the two of them walked around and mingled, there was smiling and laughing it was nice.

"Who's up for some truth or dare?!" Zach yelled out, the party had died down significantly, just the six of them left standing around a fire.

"Hell yeah, I am!" Jack yelled back. The group laughed and sat on the sand. Zach started,

"Jonah, truth or dare?"

"Let's go with dare," Jonah responded timidly.

"Alright, I dare you to go skinny dipping!"

"No." Jonah started, "It's freezing!" Evelyn noticed a smile crawling over Jack's face. She watched as he stood up,

"Challenge," he said, taking a sip from his drink, "accepted" He put his drink down and smirked at Evelyn. Jack undid his belt and dropped his pants, then sprinting to the water, he pulled off his shirt and ran out of his underwear, almost falling flat on his face. Evelyn laughed and the boys whistled.

"Come on in!" Jack yelled at the rest of them, "The water's great!" Corbyn, Zach, and Daniel exchanged glances before discarding their clothes and running into the water. Jonah sat next to Evelyn in the sand. They watched the boys splash each other, high screams and laughter coming from their direction.

"Jack's really the life of the party isn't he?" Evelyn asked Jonah,

"Yeah." he started, "Jack knows how to have fun."

Evelyn sat at her piano, a cup of coffee in hand running through the lyrics everyone had come up with yesterday. It was early, she hadn't even gotten dressed yet. She was running through the chorus for the third time when she heard a knock at the door, placing her mug on the table, she walked over to the door. Standing on her tiptoes, she looked out the peephole. "Jesus Christ." she muttered to herself, opening the door, "Hello Corbyn," The boy pushed past her, "please. come in." she rolled her eyes at the boy.

"Good morning. I was up all night and I think I came up with a really cool guitar part for the song." He said, pulling the guitar out of its case. Evelyn went to get her coffee from the table, and Corbyn started plucking at the strings. She sat on the armrest of the couch and listened intently as Corbyn plucked the strings and hummed the melody of her song. "It needs a bit of tweaking I think, but I think it fits really well." she nodded her head,

"yeah! That sounds really good Corbs." She smiled lightly at him. He flashed her a smile, "Why are you helping me this much?" she asked,

"because, even though you and Jack aren't together anymore, you're still one of my best friends. I want you to be okay." Evelyn smiled at the blue-eyed boy,

"Here," she said, "I started the next verse." She went over to the piano, and played through the chorus before playing what she had written for the next verse,

I do remember the swing in your step

the life of the party, you're showing off again

Corbyn smiled, "yeah! I like that. Why don't we run through the song so far with the guitar part?"

"Sure, let's do it!" She agreed happily. They played together in perfect harmony. The guitar patterns complimented the piano chords amazingly and Evelyn's voice was the final piece of the puzzle.
