Odin stood in the Observatory near Heimdall, both gazing out into the vast expanding universe but only one was all-seeing. Only one could see and know it all at the same time. And that meant that the AllFather came to him.
"Do you see him?" The voice is steady, almost disinterested though they both knew that was the farthest from the truth. The AllFather was known for being far from the truth.
"No. They remain hidden on Midgard." Heimdall's voice was just as neutral, he was relaying information while doing nothing more than answering the question being asked. He made sure of that. It was his oath, he would not break it.
"But you know the area they are in?" This time the AllFather gave more emphasis to his words, a question that they both knew he knew the answer to.
"Yes, the area." Again, answering the question posed to him. Nothing more.
Odin turned away and strode from the Observatory to the two who stood waiting on the bridge. "I have a task for you."
Both Sif and Fandral bowed their heads, bringing a fist to their chest in a sign of dutifulness and acceptance. They lived in service to the AllFather.
