"I heard that!"

Not having waited for Strange Tony was still able to hear Mister Wizard's comment, he didn't really care what most people thought about him and he wasn't sure what he wanted from Annie's friends. They were nice enough, even funny in the moment but right now he had other concerns. "Where's Angry Bird?"

"Director Fury has arrived on the main S.H.I.E.L.D. floor and is awaiting you in his office, Sir."

"He has an office here?"

"A room has been set aside for him though this will be the first time he has made use of it."

"Interesting," He said thoughtfully before shaking his head to get his thoughts back to here and now. Tony had no idea if Fury had been served with the paperwork informing him of the lease being broken but he wasn't going to bring the subject up first. Nor was he going to deal with the man without a drink beforehand because he was thirsty and he deserved a drink first. This day was not going as he had planned. It was just as he was pouring the amber-colored liquid into his glass that Strange came walking through the portal which closed behind him with a hiss and a snap.

As Tony took a sip Strange raised an eyebrow but didn't comment. He didn't need to because his disapproval was all over his face.

Tony pointed with his glass, "You're not the boss of me."

With a scoff, Strange snapped back, "Of which I'm truly grateful. You would have been fired a long time ago."

"Ouch." Tony's voice was deadpan, "That hurt my feeling."

With a roll of his eyes, Strange changed the subject, "Do you need me to go with you to talk with Fury?"

Now it was Tony's turn to make a noise, "No, I don't need any help with the Angry Man." Just for a moment, he got a faraway look in his eyes before pulling himself back, "Once upon a time I would have," He shrugged, "Maybe. But I'm a big boy now and I can handle him all by myself."

"Good." A quick motion brought a portal in front of him, "As soon as Loki wakes up let me know."

Raising his glass Tony nodded but he wasn't going to notify Strange of anything. Or at least not right away, the Wiz was going to have to wait until Tony had his chance to check Loki out first. If anyone was going to discover something new it was going to be Tony Stark.

Giving his own nod, Strange stepped through the portal and then disappeared but not before Tony saw the cape or cloak or whatever wave back at him.

The moment he was alone Tony grimaced at the realization his magical Uber had just vanished, "I guess this means no shortcut to get Annie's stuff." Setting his empty glass on the bar Tony walked towards the elevator, "J, make arrangements for her stuff to get here as soon as possible and have it put away in Thor's apartment."

"Of course, Sir." The elevator opened and when Tony leaned back against the wall J.A.R.V.I.S. asked, "Would you like me to inform Ms. Miller of Director Fury's presence?"

"No, I got this." Then he frowned, "You know what, go ahead and ask her to join us. She deserves the chance to confront him." Tony also knew there should be a nice display of fireworks between the two. Seeing the correct floor number light up Tony added, "Besides," The elevator stopped and Tony pushed away from the wall, "I want to get a better idea of what our guest is made of if she's going to be staying here."

"Yes, Sir." The AI's voice sounded mildly disappointed at Tony's need for causing chaos.

A number of floors above Loki dreamed. He was surrounded by figures whose faces were hidden in darkness though their hands were visible each time they slapped him. He raised his arms over his head for protection but the blows still landed, sharp and stinging. He gave a cry as he pulled away and ran down a dark hall whose only light shone just enough to reveal a few feet in front of him. No matter how fast he ran it felt like he remained in the same spot. Hearing sounds like voices calling behind him he ran faster, still going nowhere. The voices grew harsher, louder, "Where is he!"
