"What?"
Annie was finding it odd how much she kept thinking the same things as Tony Stark even while she thought he was a jerk. She wasn't sure she wanted to think about what that said about her. But she had to agree so she echoed him. "Wait, what?"
Tony looked at Annie with a frown that was actually meant for Thor so he went back to giving it to the god while asking, "Are you turning down an all-expenses-paid vacation in a top-of-the-line multi-million dollar Tower designed and built by the genius of one," He used both hands to gesture to himself, "Tony Stark?"
Thor had grown slightly confused the longer Stark had talked so now he answered while sounding like it was a question, "Yes?"
Tony threw his hands in the air before rubbing over his face, a noise of frustration coming out from behind them. He dropped them to ask Thor, "Have you lost your mind?" He didn't wait for Thor to answer, "I can understand why Junior here doesn't want to leave Mary Poppins here, but-"
Annie's forehead scrunched with wrinkles as she frowned but she didn't say anything because she wasn't sure if she'd been insulted or not. She happened to like Mary Poppins.
Loki didn't have the same problem, "Her name is not Mary! It's Annie!"
Tony rolled his eyes, "Whatever kid." He went back to trying to reason with Thor, "The fact is you two can't stay here. Eventually, someone is going to find out you're here," Tony waved his finger back and forth between Thor and Loki. "Which, I might add," He sounded like a disappointed father, "Is pretty easy since you've popped up on social media."
Thor had been silent, he had no idea when it was his turn to speak so he just continued to listen in hopes that he would understand at least most of what Stark was talking about. Or he would leastwise not confirm that he didn't know everything Stark was nearly shouting at them. He randomly thought that Stark often sounded a great deal like Loki when his Brother was berating him. He wasn't sure if he was feeling irritated or bemused at the similarity.
Annie frowned, "That's not our fault."
"Oh yeah?" Tony cocked his head to the side, "Who took an Avenger to Walmart?"
Annie rolled her eyes and rested her chin on Loki's head while still rubbing a hand over his chest. She was hoping to calm him, she could feel his heart beating like a drum behind his little chest, she could feel his bones and they felt so frail despite the fact that he had been strong enough to pull out of her arms.
"Yeah, that's what I thought." Tony looked back to Thor, "Look, I understand you're trying to keep your brother happy but as strange as I feel saying this," Tony shook his head in partial disbelief, "You have to be the adult and do what's best for him rather than what makes him happy."
Loki frowned. He didn't agree with that at all because he wanted what made him happy and what made him happy was having Annie with him because she was his. And he kept what was his. So he was going to keep Annie.
Thor glanced from Tony to Loki then met Annie's eyes, he could tell that she didn't want to agree with Stark but she did. Thor shook his head while giving Stark his attention, "No, in this case, I still think leaving and Annie going with us is the best idea. We can stay together."
Annie didn't agree with the idea at all and this time she was fast enough to speak before Tony, "No, no, and nope. I have no plan to go on some crazy road trip with you guys. There's no way I'm driving around the country from motel to motel." She was shaking her head and could feel Loki tilt his head so he could look up at her but she refused to look down at him because she didn't want to know what the expression on his face was. "That's just not a good idea, Thor."
