Mayelyn Joins The Team

Mayelyn's P.O.V.

So let's get one thing straight. I'm not a huge nerd. I just have a super intellect, that's all.

"Maye, when did you become smart?" Christina asked.

"Hey! I was always the smart one growing up." I retorted.

"I just acted like I wasn't smart. And besides you're a year older than me." My cousin responded.

"Why would you do that?" Yuki asked.

"People don't think of nerds as tough and I wanted people to be afraid of me." Christina explained.

"Anyway..." One of the guys said. "Mayelyn, I would like to invite you to join S.W.A.N."

"I would love to." I smiled.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Ryoto Sasaki." The guy replied.

"Haruto Fujimoto." Came the voice of another guy who was standing by Christina. "Or Christina's boyfriend."

"No cares Haru." The last guy rolled his eyes, before sticking out his hand in my direction. "The name Taisei Murakami."

"Maye, you don't have to shake his hand." Yuki told me, pushing Taisei's hand down.

"That's a bit rude!" Taisei shouted at Yuki.

"In case you didn't pick up my name earlier, it's Yuki Yamazai." Yuki smiled.

"Who's gonna train her?" Haruto asked, his arm around Christina.

"I'll do it!" Taisei instantly rose his hand.

"No! You won't!" Christina responded by kicking Taisei, Haruto's arm still around her shoulders. "I will not allow you to make moves on my cousin as you do me."

"You're just like Haru..." Tai frowned.

"Christina, based on how well you did when you first joined, and the fact that you're related, would you like to accept the challenge of training her?" Ryoto asked.

"You sure I'm qualified?" Christina asked. "I've only been part of the team for like four months, and all of you are much stronger than I... Except Tai."

"Hey!" Taisei opposed, which was completely ignored.

"You're ready. Besides, you've been doing martial arts since you were little. It's obvious you have patience, since you haven't killed Tai yet." Ryo answered. "And in my opinion, you may be the strongest."

"No, I'm not the strongest. And as for the killing Tai thing, I would worry about Haru killing him more than me. But, if you think I'm really ready, I'd love to train her."
