Taisei's P.O.V.
I was really surprised at how little assassins were on patrol. Is this really Haruto's idea of "heavily guarded"?
I snuck around with ease. At some point, I decided to try to create a telepathic link with the girls. To my surprise, it actually worked!
"Tai? Is that you?" Christina asked through the link.
"Yeah." I answered. "I came to look around, so I could come back tomorrow to save y'all."
"Is Haru there?" Christina asked.
"He's somewhere." I replied. "Are y'all okay?"
"I've been better. I feel like this is somehow my fault." Christina's response was full of sorrow.
The thing about telepathic links is that it's like you're actually having a conversation with someone. The only difference is that nobody that isn't connected can't hear you and don't know that you're conversing.
"Don't you dare say that!" I ordered. "There is no way you could have known that this would happen!"
"Tai, I've been kidnapped twice in four months! I don't think I'm cut out to be a ninja."
"You're just like Haruto!" I exclaimed (telepathically).
"What do you mean?" Her voice was still sorrowful.
"Haruto is blaming himself. He's worried sick and he thinks it's his fault that you were kidnapped."
"Why?!? He can't blame himself for his dad's actions!"
"I think it mostly has to do with the fact that he wasn't there to protect you."
"Just hurry up and get us out of here! These ropes are beginning to cut off the blood circulation to my arms."
I contacted Ryoto and Haruto, telling them to meet me outside. Outside, we decided to go back to the theatre and begin to prepare for the next day.
