Chapter 25: Detention

After the party we all headed home and straight to bed.

My alarm goes off and I hurry get up to get ready for school. I finished up grabbing my bag heading into the kitchen.

"You ready babe?" Cameron ask me.

"Mmm huh." I say with no words coming out.

Cameron grabs my hand and kisses the top of it. I smile at his remark. We walked into the school building Cameron and I still holding hands when we almost ran over a freshman girl.

"Sorry." I say about to touch her shoulder.

"It's okay, it was my fault." She says all flustered.

She looks up at Cameron and I then look at our interlocked hands.

"S-sorry." She says shaking her head and re focusing.

"You guys make a great couple." She says with a big smile on her face.

"Why thank you." I say smiling at her then at Cameron.
Cameron looks at me and says, "We sure do." Then smiled.

The girl waves and rushes back with her friends. I look at her and smile then continue to walk back to my locker with Cam. I open my locker and turn my head to see Jessie. She gives me a glare and rolls her eyes at me. I shake my head back and forth at her.

"Babe, what's wrong?"

"Nothing." I say upset a little.

"No, Kylie. Don't do this and just lie about what's going on, what you're feeling. If you keep it bottled up inside, you'll wish you hadn't." He says slowly wrapping his arms around me from behind.

I smile and start to say, "It's Jessie I'm afraid she'll do something to make me lose you."

"That will never happen, and you know that don't you?"

I turn around to face him and look into his eyes.

"Yes I do. But." I say.

"But, what Kylie?!"

"That you might take her back. You've been with her and loved her for a long time. I don't know I just thought you would go back to her."

"I would never go back to her, you're the one I want to be with and love; not Jessie."

I nod my head in response and go into Cameron's hug. The bell rang and he kisses the top of my head.

"I'll see you at lunch okay?" He says walking away.

"Okay." I walk away to head to science class.

I met up with Jack for science class.

"Hey, Kylie how are you holding up?" He asks

"I'm doing pretty good. You?"

"I'm doing great as well." He says with a big smile.

Jack and I sat in our seats and passed noted to one another. We were talking about how I got detention for today.
Later the bell rang to head to our next class.

"I'll see you at lunch, right?" He says to me.

"Yeah, of course."

He gives me a hug and walks off to his next class. I walk to my next class. I practically fall asleep, even when it's math class. Lunch came and I got my food and sat down at our table.

"Hey babe." Cameron says kissing my cheek and sitting down next to me.

"Hi." I say with a smile.
