Ten yawned as he walked himself towards the university. He wasn't late, like last time, but he's sleepy. He would probably sleep in class, like always, and thankfully, Yangyang kept on waking him up when the professor arrives. Right now, he's asking for a miracle that his professor won't come in for class today so he could sleep well.
The hybrid was on his way to their table but he jolted when someone blocked his way all of a sudden.
"You look like a zombie," Johnny uttered.
Ten pouted, "I couldn't sleep."
"Why? You should've called me," the man said and walked beside the hybrid.
"I don't want to disturb you."
"I want you to bother me too."
Ten chuckled and leaned his head against Johnny's shoulder, "You said it, I'll do it."
They arrived at the table with eyes looking back at them. Ten sat in between Yangyang and Taeyong while Johnny sat on his usual seat, with eyes still confused because of them.
"So..." Sicheng started, waiting for what they're going to say.
Ten raised both of his eyebrows, "What?"
"Why...What happened to the both of you?" Taeyong asked.
"And what happened to your lip?" Yuta asked Johnny, pointing at the scratch on his upper lip.
Johnny hummed, "It's the kitten's fault."
"Oh...What?!"
"But he kept me awake all night," Ten sighed, playing along with Johnny with the little context they were giving away.
"What?!"
"What exactly happened?" Yangyang asked, wanting to know if they're bluffing or not.
Ten smiled, "Unfortunately, we're a thing now."
"He actually did go to my house, barge in late at night and confessed," Johnny teased.
"You did that?" Taeyong couldn't believe it.
The hybrid became flustered at how he got exposed, "Y-Yeah. It was Jaehyun's fault for giving me his address!"
"What?! Why did I get into the scene?" Jaehyun hysterically said and jolted when his boyfriend looked at him with a glare, "Sweetheart--"
"Is that true?"
Jaehyun looked down and sighed, "Sadly..."
"And why did you have to sneak out and go to his house late at night?" Taeyong asked to Ten.
"...I wanted to try what they do in dramas."
"Let them be, Taeyong. Atleast they're happy," Yuta said, "Anyway, I need to go. I still have soccer to do. Cheng, let's go."
"I'll see you later," Taeyong said to Jaehyun, letting him go without him, "Ten, we need to talk."
Everyone heard it so they stood from their chairs and bid their byes to each other before they go. Ten got curious as to why he has to talk to Taeyong. Obviously, it was about him and Johnny. He doesn't exactly know why but he did it when Taeyong got Jaehyun. Maybe it was payback?
"Ten, your mother. If she knew about this, she'll flip out," Taeyong said.
The hybrid scoffed, "She wouldn't know."
"You won't introduce Johnny to your family?" his friend asked.
"Well...we agreed not telling them about it yet. Don't worry, I can handle this. I'll have us keep our relationship for a while," Ten answered.
Taeyong sighed and placed his palm against his forehead, "Ten..."
"It's not your problem, Taeyong. It's ours. I'm sure I can hide it for a while."
After they talked, Ten jogged his way towards the department. He walked through the hallways and had to use the stairs for the class. He was very sluggishly at this point. He wanted to sleep so badly that he just wants to go home.
The hybrid walked in the room and saw the man, his now boyfriend, waving at him. Ten walked over to him and placed his chin on his shoulder.
"Hm?"
"You can sit beside me."
Ten scrunched his nose, "Why?"
"You can sleep. I'll cover you," Johnny said, offering an idea to his boyfriend.
The hybrid hummed, "Alright. I can't say no."
Ten placed his bag down and plopped himself down on the seat beside Johnny. He called out for Yangyang to beside him who immediately agreed since the seat was vacant. The hybrid then placed his arms down for his head to lay on, making sure he was invading his boyfriend's space on the table.
Johnny didn't mind him just placed a hand over Ten's head while on his phone, gently caressing the hybrid's head and saw how his ears relaxed from it.
"I find it confusing as to how both of you became boyfriends," Yangyang uttered.
Johnny shrugged, "Same."
"But do you truly like Ten?"
The man looked back at the boy, "Are you testing me, Yang?"
"You can say that."
"Of course, I like him. I do have feelings, though I don't know how it happened," Johnny answered.
The boy nodded, "Right. Most people's answers when I ask them why they are inlove is that they don't exactly know."
"It's because, for me, Ten is just more than a kind, annoying hybrid. I can't really explain it."
Yangyang laughed, "If he heard that, he'll tease you for it."
"What's so new about it?" the man said jokingly.
Johnny looked at Ten. He assumed that the hybrid's asleep, which he actually is. Wondering how Ten liked him was a whole new level of overthinking. Another thing was thinking about was what happened that night. He wouldn't really doubt about Ten's confession, he just finds it amusing.
"Ah, I shouldn't have sat beside both of you," Yangyang uttered.
Johnny chuckled before he goes back and does things with his phone, with his hand's still on Ten's head.
