You ran like a child through the shrine. Yelling and laughing happily, you just had a butt load of sugar and you were practically bouncing off the walls.

You ran down the hall with bare feet, you were suddenly grabbed by the collar of your shirt, "Quit running around like a 5 year old. You will not only get yourself hurt but you might hurt someone else!" an angry Tomoe yells.

You stick your tongue out playfully at him, "I am a child!" you say. He sighs and picks you up bridal style before taking you to your room and plopping you down on your floor level bed. (Get your head out of the gutter! He will not do anything dirty!)

"Stay here!" He says.

"Why should I?" you ask, crossing your arms and pouting.

"You said yourself that you were a child. So consider yourself grounded." Tomoe puts on a happy smile before sliding the door closed.

You huffed and fell back onto your pillow, no way we're you listening to him! He was NOT the boss of you!

You put on some socks to help you slide across the floors a little easier. You open the door and look to make sure Tomoe wasn't around.... No sign of him...

Immediately you start to run around the halls again, laughing and screaming random things. You turn a sharp corner before running full speed ahead, you suddenly notice Tomoe cleaning the floors.... The wet, slippery floors....

With you in your socks, at first you stay on your feet, sliding along twisting and turning.  But then, your feet are practically pulled out from under you, "(Y/n)!" Tomoe yells, his voice laced with concern.

As you fall, you feel arms wrap around your torso and you have a soft landing. All you see is darkness all around you, not seeing a single thing, you feel something shift under you before you hear a voice, "(y/n), you can open your eyes now."

You hadn't even realized that they were closed, you slowly open your eyes to see Tomoe looking down at you. Your head was in his lap, he smirked at you, "I told you that you were gonna get hurt eventually." he says.

"Yes, you did, but you were there to save me." you say with a large smile.

Tomoe smirks a bit wider, he leans down a little closer to your face, and gives you a peck on the tip of your nose. You turn scarlet and blink in confusion, Tomoe chuckles at your reaction, "T-Tomoe?"

"Yes?"

"Did you plan this?"

He chuckles again and puts a finger to his lips, "that's my little secret."

~ Tomoe ~ Masquerade ~ Sirina_Eve ~

You looked around the elegant ballroom with a bored expression. You weren't parctically fond of the annual 'Valentine Ball', you only came because your friend asked you to. You didn't go last year, and rumors were spread that a yokai had come to the ball as well. You didn't believe it though, you weren't one to believe in such fairy tails. You stood by the snack table, occasionally eating a piece of chocolate, you were wearing a gorgeous red satin strapless ball gown, your (h/c) hair up in an elegant bun (only if it's long enough). The theme for this years ball was masquerade, so you wore a white mask that covered the upper half of your face, made to look like a heart, with many elegant red designs on it.

You hear someone sigh, you look to your right and there stood a man leaning on the table a few feet away from you, "These parties are always such a bore." he says.

"My thoughts exactly." you reply.

You observe him carefully, he wore a white suite with a red tie, white shoes, and a red mask outlined in white that covered the upper half of his face. His skin was pale, He was at least a head taller than you, his hair was white with a bit of a blonde tint to it, and he had the most memorizing dark purple-ish eyes. And was it just you, or did it seem like his eyes were slits?

"Like what you see?" the man interrupts your thoughts with a devious smirk.

You 'Tch'ed before averting your eyes back to the dancing couples.

You don't like ball room dancing, you don't like dressing up, and you don't like boys who are total flirts.

"May I have this dance?" The man that was beside you asks, holding out his hand.

"I don't dance." you say.

"You don't dance? Or you can't dance?"

You slightly glare at him and he laughs, "Don't worry, just follow my lead." he says.

You look at his outstretched hand. Hesitantly, you take his hand and he leads you to the dance floor. He puts a hand on your waist and you put a hand on his shoulder. The music starts, the man takes a few steps and you follow his lead, slightly stumbling a bit before getting the hang of it.

"See? You're dancing." the man says with a cheeky smile.

You ignore him and focus downwards more at your feet, trying your best not to stumble again. The man takes his hand from around your waist and lifts your chin so you were looking him in the eye, "You shouldn't look down. Always look at your partner or he'll think that you're not enjoying yourself." he says.

"What if I'm not?" you question him.

"Then you'd be lying to yourself."

"I'm dancing with a complete stranger, how could I enjoy myself if I don't even know your name?"

"I don't know your name either."

"(Y/n)... My name is (y/n)." you say.

He smirks, "(y/n), a lovely name for a lovely girl."

You look down, trying to hide your blush, making him chuckle, "alright, you know my name, now what's yours?" you ask.

"Tomoe, you may call me Tomoe." he says.

The music stops and everyone starts clapping, Tomoe takes your hand and plants a gentle kiss on it.

"Alright everyone!! Now it's time to surprise your dates and shock your partners! Take off those masks in 10! 9!" The host of the party starts counting down.

"Oh dear, it seems my time is up." Tomoe says.

"8! 7! 6!"

As Tomoe begins to leave you grab his wrist, "What's the rush?" you ask.

"5! 4! 3!"

"I don't think it would be wise to let me stay." he says.

"2!"

"The least you could do before you go is let me see your face." You say.

"1!"

You lift up your mask to reveal your face, His eyes slightly widened, "Alright, you've seen my face, now let me see yours."

Tomoe leans down, allowing you to take a hold of his mask, a smirk on his face. But before you got the chance to take it off, you suddenly hear screaming all around you.

"Yokai!"

"Look out Its a yokai!!"

You gasp and look around, everyone was starring at you... No, not at you, at Tomoe... You look at him and your eyes widen. On top of his head sat white fox ears, behind him was a fluffy tail, his nails were sharper, and his hair was much longer.

"Like I said, my time is up." He says.

He then disappears in the blink of an eye..... And you never got to see his face...
