"Y/n!" You almost flinched when you heard the front door slam open, accompanied by Marina's shout.

"Did you do something wrong?" 8 asked, looking up from a coloring book. You shrugged.

"Unless I'm about to get chewed out for joining them onstage without their knowledge, nope." You answered. In the living room, Marina walked in, breathing heavily.

"You. Come here. Please." She told you. You and 8 looked at each other. You both shrugged, before you stood up, following your girlfriend.

"So, what got you to stop the silent treatment?" You asked.

"Something important." Marina told you.

"So important it even quells spite. Gotcha." You remarked. Marina sighed, meeting a nervous looking Pearl in the foyer. She was holding a paper bag, her fingers twitching. You narrowed your eyes, looking between the two of them.

"Did... something come up?" You asked. Marina sighed, taking the bag from Pearl and grabbing your wrist.

"Come on." She guided you away from the foyer.

Her rushed pace only brought you more concern as Pearl followed the two of you.  You all entered the recording studio, where Pearl shut the door behind you, leaving you in soundproof silence. From the bag, Marina drew out a PDA.

"What... does the PDA have to do with any important things?" You asked. Marina paused, her breath still heavy and slow, before she grit her teeth, finger hovering over the power button.

"Y/n... what happened in the dead zone?" She asked.

"The... dead zone?" You repeated. After a moment of silence, you shrugged.

"There were ghost leviathans in there." You recalled.

"And...?" Marina rolled her hand.

"And?" You asked. Marina sighed.

"Do you not remember what else you found?" She questioned. You narrowed your eyes at her, confused.

"Not remember? Marina, what are you talking about?" You asked. Marina covered her mouth with a single hand, deep in thought. She was serious about this.

"Pearl, what do you think?" Marina asked. The pink inkling shrugged in confusion.

"Don't ask me. You're the one who had the idea." She answered. Marina sighed, hesitating further.

"Y/n... do you seriously not remember it?" Marina asked you, looking you straight in the eyes. You slowly shook your head again, looking down at the PDA.

"I... really have no idea what you mean." You told her. Marina drew back her hand, hesitant. With a moment of gathering resolve, she pressed the power button, turning on the PDA.

"What's in the PDA that I wouldn't know about?" You asked.

"It's... not fun." Pearl told you.

"Not fun? Nothing in those logs are 'fun.' What is in the PDA?" You insisted. In response, Marina tapped at the device a few times, handing it to you.

"...please don't let this be something I regret."

  Y/n L/n's Survival Log: Entry 420 ((Heh))

You felt weightless, looking down the cliff that led into the Dead Zone, from the bridge of Omega. You needed to scan whatever being lived down there, if you wanted to complete your PDA. You had no plans to go too deep, and in the event that things went awry, you had a little device put together, an oxygen canister to hook up to your helmet that would last you up to a few days while you took cover and waited for an opening to escape.
