  Y/n L/n's Survival log: Entry 54

It took a while, but you managed to gather the courage to come back down here. The massive skull and rib cage, the ghostlike leviathan creature, and the hundreds of meters of unexplored terrain all scared you half to death. Yet, if you wanted to find a cure to whatever was ailing you, you'd have to find it, and fast.

You steered the Cyclops away from the Ghost Leviathan, hoping to whatever being dictated your life that this thing wouldn't notice you.

Every breath was held for a solid half minute, and every time the creature even traveled in your direction, your lungs felt like they would burst from the gasp you took in. This continued for a few minutes as you went as slowly as possible, trying not to get the things attention.

Thankfully, you were able to get past it, through to new parts of the lost river. Parts less occupied by leviathan class creatures. More skeletons passed by as you trudged on, exploring this hostile biome.

One skeleton you didn't recognize looked kind of out of place. While most creature skeletons were so out of place, with massive mouths that could swallow the cyclops whole, this one looked like it could still have living relatives.

It was still massive, and probably capable of killing you, but it was only bigger than the Reaper Leviathan's you didn't want to tangle with. Looking at it, you nodded, trudging past.

One thing that had interested you in your days of containment, was the prospect of Greek letters. Twenty Four foreign symbols that were used to name objects.

You looked down at the steering wheel of the cyclops, tapping your foot. You had an idea.

From now on, the Cyclops would be called Omega. The Seamoth would be called Alpha, and the PRAWN would be called Sigma.

You passed on through the river, piloting Omega. After a few more minutes of driving, you came to a halt, as new structures came into view.

It was Precursor built, no doubt, and it seemed to be some sort of facility. It also looked kind of damaged, tilted at an unnatural angle. You started Omega up in silent running, coming closer.

Just outside the facility, you stopped Omega, stepping away from the wheel, and towards the dock where the PR- where Sigma was waiting.

You got in the suit, and Omega let go, allowing you to drop into the depths. Your grapple lunged out, latching the side of the facility, as you scaled the massive building, getting up to an entrance.

With the silence of the dead accompanying you, you entered.

You sat up in bed, opening your eyes. The sun was beginning to rise, so Pearl and Marina were most likely still asleep. You got up, feeling your feet hit the carpet. Thinking back to the stuff you kept at your old home, your mind wandered to the sunglasses from yesterday's battle. You looked over to the hoodie you were wearing yesterday, using your good hand to reach in, and grab the eyewear.

Of all the suggestive things Callie wore during that battle, this most interested you. The glass looked nearly identical to your own, down to the lack of a frame to give more space for the lights. Did they work the same way?

You turned the glass around in your hands, eventually finding a switch on the right edge. Flicking it off and on, the lights weakly fluttered in an eye pattern. On the inside of the glasses, above the nose, was a charging port. Your glasses had a charging port on the top of the nose, instead of inside, and they were turned on by a sensor on the right side that detected finger swipes. Pressing down and swiping up turned them on, and swiping down turned them off.
