Y/n L/n's Survival log: Entry 1,600
Any day. You had waited long enough. Soon, you would be out of this hellhole. The quarantine enforcement platform was shut down, and you could leave at any time.
You scrambled around the base you had in the Safe Shallows, grabbing everything trace you had of yourself living here. You had already picked apart every habitat you built in the lost river, and every other biome in this cursed place.
The really big creatures you killed, that wouldn't rot for a long time, were gathered and dumped into the dead zone, for the Ghost Leviathans to chow on.
Omega and Sigma were sadly forced to be similarly dumped beneath their crush depth. You couldn't risk anyone getting onto this planet, and finding traces of an Aurora survivor. Beta would be last to go. You would push it into the crash zone, for the reapers to play with until it broke.
All that would be left of you was the launch platform. You could do nothing of it, except hope that nobody could trace it to you.
The ship itself almost rivaled the Aurora in height. Of course, most of it went towards systems and thrusters, but there was a significant amount of space for storage, allowing for you to bring those you wanted home.
Soon, the world that you were forced to leave behind, would once again know you.
Your quiet, peaceful sleep was abruptly ended when your entire body jerked in reflex, waking you up. Darkness veiled the room, with the only light coming from the window. You put a hand to your side, which ached.
Phantom pains. Nothing more. You pushed the covers off of yourself, getting up. Judging from the lack of light, it was early. You looked at your nightstand, grabbing your phone off of it. The bright screen burnt your eyes for a moment, before your eyes quickly adjusted. It was four o'clock in the morning. You looked back at the bed, still clutching your side.
The last few nights had been commonly plagued by bad dreams. Memories of the various creatures that almost killed you. You were past that time. You instead looked to the shower, walking into the cold room that continued it.
The shower leaked steam into the bedroom when you exited it, about ten minutes later. You opened your dresser, blindly grabbing some clothes, which you put on just as sightlessly.
You exited the room, walking through the cold halls of the mansion, making your way to the kitchen.
You quickly stopped at the fridge to grab the creamer, then the pantry to grab some sugar. As much as you took coffee black, you wanted something less harsh to your tongue.
The coffee machine rumbled as you got the grounds in, pressing the switch to begin brewing. As the coffee started to drip, you grabbed a tall mug, placing it by the machine, walking into the living room while you waited.
As expected, the room was- not empty. You did not expect to see someone else in here.
"Hm?" In front of the tv, an old man looked towards you. You turned on the light, getting a good look at him. His eyes were possibly the biggest in terms of proportion to his face, and his beard covered what little of his face his eyes didn't. His limbs were skinny and frail looking, covered by a tracksuit.
"Oh, good morning, young laddie!" He greeted you. You put a finger to your lips, pointing up.
"People are trying to sleep." You reminded him.
"Ah, sorry." His eyes didn't leave you as you sat down.
"Well, morning." You greeted him. He gave you a shaky wave as you extended your hand.
