Y/n L/n's Survival log: Entry 45

The grappling hook of the PRAWN suit grasped a glowing blue orb, plunging you deeper into the depths of 4546B. Behind you, a crab squid gurgled angrily, chasing you into the depths. The poor creature had been thrown from it's sleep by a stray warper shot, which brought it here. It tried to fire an EMP, to turn off your suit, only to angrily shriek at you as the blue and black suit descended further into the depths, towards another, less friendly biome.

With a grunt of effort, you managed to get yourself down to another underwater cavern, leading out of the Grand Reef(that's what it's called, right?).

In the floor of this cavern was a stream of blue mist, leading away. Seeing no reason to stay, you brought the suit further in, keeping an eye on your depth gauge.

Slowly, blue became green as the water around you changed to become a sickly green hue. Around you, skeletons of various creatures began to pop up as the cavern opened up, revealing a massive new area to explore. You gasped at the sight, almost hesitating to move on. This whole area was massive, and you weren't sure you could proceed without getting lost.

You gulped and pressed on, not noticing the ghostly shriek in the distance.

One by one, Octolings fell before your wrath, being reduced to puddles of ink by your Hero Splatling. Five out of eight mini Zapfish were collected, and you were rapidly approaching number six.

From behind you, a roller-wielding Octoling appeared from the ink, raising the roller.

Her strike hit thin air, as you pulled yourself from another puddle, not a foot away. The Octoling didn't get a chance to let out a cry of pain as she was basically deleted from existence.

She'll respawn. You assured yourself, watching her soul thing(you didn't know the proper term) float off. If you were honest, hearing their defeated cries of pain hurt you inside, reminded you of the victims of the Aurora's crash. You were able to brush those aside as you pressed on. You didn't mind bringing pain to those that deserved it, but killing someone who could be saved wasn't something you wanted to be responsible for.

All around you, a squadron of five Octolings emerged from fresh pink ink, raising their weapons. You lightly cursed, ducking backwards as a small tidal wave of pink ink engulfed the area you used to stand in. Shooting a spot of ink at your feet, you descended, refilling your tank as the Octolings shifted their aim towards you. Two with rollers tried to rush towards you. One got mowed down in a second, but the other was able to get to you before you could shift your aim, shattering the final layer of your armor.

Shit! You moved the still-firing splatling onto the other Octoling, removing her from your way. You ducked into your ink, trying to get some cover while your armor fixed itself, before a bomb rolled in beside you, detonating.

The blast of ink knocked you to the side, as you felt your body grow heavy. An Octoling approached you slowly, raising her roller to deal the final blow.

"Agent 4, what's your status!" Marie shouted over comms. Your chance to respond was stopped when the inkling stepped on your chest, pressing down. You felt the breath get squeezed out of your lungs as the Octoling grinned.

"Final words?" She asked, in her broken.... inklish? Is that what the language you spoke was called? Doesn't matter, you would be calling it inklish.

You let out a wheezing chuckle as the color drained from your hair, something the Octoling didn't seem to notice.

"You're too late." You told her, smiling. The Octoling sneered, before raising her roller, bringing it down on your neck. Pink ink covered your face, but you didn't disappear.
