Dragon's den

"Whoa! This fall didn't hurt as much as the last." I say in amazement looking at the crater that was preety high up from us.

Suddenly the floor launches me up "That's because you fell on me, jerk!" Mil says dusting himself off.

I take an upside down look of my surroundings. I pick myself up and see a cave that I had never seen before. The walls seem like crystals and many gems line the walls, precious gems that I had never seen before in all of my adventures, and I passed by here a lot. They weren't only abundant in quality, but in quantity as well. I ran to one and filled my pocket with pieces I chipped off. "We're going to be rich!" I said

Everyone else takes what they find valuable. We see the cave stretch even further and we are all drawn by curiosity. We form our patrol stance with the heavy hitters, like Mil and Raph up front, the close ranged, agilility based hunters like me and Dion and form a protective barrier for the long ranged shooters like Garil and Cole.

The light that leaks in through the craters in the roof reflect on the wall of the cave and keeps on traveling through making a light show out of streams of silver-like light. I feel a gentle draft go through the cave as if the it had two openings. The ground is moist and the stone tunnel is so quiet that you can hear distant drops of water, yet after all these factors, there are no bats whatsoever, no type of wildlife.

We reach a point in the cave where the roof extends 10 meters over our head. This place is huge! None of us care about the hike that awaited us because we had discovered something new. Something big. Our faces changed when we saw eggs bigger than Mil, and trust me that's pretty big. Never in the monster index has there been an egg of this magnitude. I elbow Mil in the side and look at him with a smile. His nickname was eggs and we loved to mess with him about it. "Hey, I guess we found your mother."

"Why you...!" After we wrestle for about a minute Mil uses his weight and sits on me. We knew each other since we were little, we were basically brothers. We would always fight like this and he'd always win.

"What could this belong to?" Mil asked cadually like I wasn't flailing my arms, out of breath, under him. Suddenly we all felt the same warm breeze flow down our neck. "S***! Why did I have to ask?"

We all turned to see a pair of glowing red, reptilian like eyes staring right into us. Mil jabs it with his gunlance and shouts so loud it echo's through the cave "I hit it in the eye! Run!" We sprint deeper into the cave hoping that my hypothesis about there being another enterence was correct. The dragon chomps down blindly on us after getting its eye shanked by Mil. "Holy crap did you see that!?" Mil gives a little hop. "That thing almost took a bite out of my butt!"

"That's it." I say annoyed. "From now on I'm the comic relief in the story!"

   "But I'm the funny one!"

I lift my leg up to him while running "Say that again and I'll kick you and let the dragon have eggs for dinner!"

"Noooooo!" I swear I've never seen him run this fast in my life. "I hate eggs! I ain't no cannibal!"

I really wish that made sense with the rest of the dialogue, but where was I? Oh right! "Ahhhhhhh!" We all run as the reptile shoots fire engulfing the whole cave in flames. This discovery just got much bigger than I thought. I thought they were mythic, but looking at it through all angles, we had found a dragon.
