Kittan tosses herself in the way of the giant Felyne general's broadsword with arms spread out protecting us with her nimble body.
"Kittan, No!" I get up and reach out to her and as the blade made impact, a sphere of blue energy surrounded us and Kittan. The Felyne's blade is stopped and he is pushed back by the force of the shield itself. Kittan, who had her eyes closed the whole time, opens her eyes and stares at the energy shield around her surprised. After contemplating it, she turns to the source, her neck brace, which had a precious looking gem attached to it, which had a low glow to it.
The felyne general recovers and looks at Kittan in amazement. "What, another Soulstone?!" Kittan drops to her knees without energy, as the shield dematerializes.
"Are you alright?" I hold her up from falling.
"Niel!" Garil calls out to him. "Your sword!" He points at the sword that's right in the middle of the two.
"Got it!" Niel makes a run for the sword and the General noticed shortly after and runs, Niel having the head start. Niel takes a dive on the dirt and instantly vanished. Rah stomps everywhere in rage trying to hit Niel, but misses each time. His instincts seem to kick in as he loses all common sense and begins to stomp randomly at every sound he hears.
Niel becomes visible to us and makes gestures to us. We must have been invisible to him too. This is awesome, being undetected. We all take advantage of the little rant he has to move around while he still can't hear us. He instantly stops and with a frown, he begins to concentrate. That was it, any move we made from there on out was going to be completely transparent to him. He'd see right through all of them.
Cole went first. She shot an arrow from far away that traveled straight to his chest. His eyes still closed, he effortlessly grabbed the arrow mid-flight. I jump at him with my blades ready for the kill. He grips my neck "Did you really think that'd work with just one minor difference?" He smashes me against the ground and looks at me in the eye. I must be visible again because of the shocked look on his face seeing me. I have a grin from ear to ear as I hear him say astonished "Y-you're not the...!" He turns around a bit too late. Niel waves his sword around causing a wave of energy to come from his blade. I slip out, coughing, before he's hit just inches away from the blast.
The wave carries him all the way to a tree and turns the tree into sawdust that burns in the air. He grits his teeth as he stares at us in rage. Niel charges at him head on with his sword. In an instant he has his fist on Niel's face, but it just proves to be an illusion. With all the momentum of his fist still in effect, the real Niel charges at him and slashes with all his might. The blade slices through the Felyne's chest and he grunts as he backs away holding his chest. He picks up his blade and gets ready for an attack. Out of nowhere two shady figures appear in front of him.
"Stop it, Rah-nim..." One with a hoodie says. He looks slim and tall with a brown tail.
"Yes... There are more pressing matters than these weaklings, even if they have Soulstones... We have bigger problems, we should go."
The giant man-tiger growls at us. "Next time I see you... I'll strike to kill. You won't get away." He kicks a tree and splits it with his bare feet as he sheathes his blade.
I fall down on my knees rubbing my neck that was sore from the Felyne's firm grip. Niel grabs my arm and puts me back on my feet. "We have to leave." Niel says with a serious face. "It's not safe."
He stands next to Kittan and reaches to pick her up, but upon making contact with her hand he retreats if with haste. Kittan, still dizzy on the floor, looks confused and uncomfortable with Niel's action. He faces away clearly troubled. I reach towards Kittan and help her up myself.
