Jack's POV
The guards shout in pain as they fall, immobilized. "Your aim is as accurate as ever." I tell Bri. We embrace each other.

"I was afraid you guys wouldn't make it." Bri lets put a sigh of relief.

"We wouldn't have let them take you."

"It wasn't me I was worried about. It was you. I could handle myself in this ship."

From the very begging I knew her plan. From the time our eyes met, I knew her plan was to free the prisoners that were stored in the ship along with the cargo. I didn't approve, but I knew I wouldn't be able to stop her so I played along in helping her gain Black Beard's trust.

"Everyone," I tell our crew members "Tie up these pirates." I turning to Bri "You did avoid all vital organs, right?"

"We aren't pirates, they'll be okay with a little bit of medical attention. That's besides the point. You obviously have a plan, right?"

"Obviously." I wink at her as I finish helping out with tying the pirates. "We have to get out of this ship as soon as possible."

We do what we came to do and exit the ship. "Everyone get out of the ship!" I shout at the top of my lungs. Everyone fighting Black Beard is exhausted, but alive.

"Gladly!" they all chant and make their way to Hearkens' ship.

"Let's go Bri." I hold her hand, ready to jump. "We've been on this ship far too long." As we run to jump, Bri's hand lets go of mine abruptly. I stumble, decelerating and turn back. Black Beard's thick hand grabbed Bri and tossed her back. She falls on a pile of rope and the enraged pirate walks over to her.

"You traitor!" The pirate barks at her. "You know what I do with traitors?!" he has his gun out and his thick body is a foot away from her small, injured body. He rips some ropes that were tightly strung and they start to run at high speeds. The mound of rope under her begins to shoot out of the ship and Bri stares at me with a terrified face, immobilized by fear.

"Bri!" I race towards her, past Black Beard and reach for her hand when she is violently pulled into the ocean by a knot on her leg. "No!" I look at her sink underwater and in an instant, she is no longer visible in the surface.

"Get over here!" Black Beard stops me and puts his gun up to my neck and pulls down on the trigger.

The hooded girl, I think her name was Kittan, kicks the gun up and the gun shoots up. "Get out of here!"

"No! Bri is dro-" I am grabbed by Mil, and he pulls me out of the ship while I kick and shout like a rabid wolf. "Let me go! Let me-" I am tossed to the other ship with an uncanny strength.

"We have to go! The cannons are about to blow!" He was right, but I couldn't stand the sight of the empty spot where Bri was.

I try to fight him, but my father's hands stabilize me. "Jack, calm down... The cannons are ready." I could hear the pain in his chest being projected through his raggedy voice. "Charge the prototypes!" Turning to me he asks "You set the charges, correct?"

I look at him with tears in my eyes as I nod.

"Perfect." He signals the crew and they move all heavy things to the side closest to the enemy ship making it slant, slightly.

"What do you plan on doing, Hearkens?" Black Beard shouts from the other ship ready to storm our ship.

"Putting an end to you." As soon as he says that, the side of his ship explodes from the cargo hold's area revealing all the stolen merchandise. "Handle it with care boys!" Says the Captain as he walks back to the Captain's quarters.

I hold on to the sides with a blank expression as I watch my plan come to a successful conclusion. The crew shoots harpoons at the crates and the ship is violently thrusted towards the enemy ship by the prototypes and the herbs are snatched back from the pirate ship. In mere seconds, the tide turned, with only an angry pirate on the other side as an obstacle.

The ship fires the other cannons and impulse ourselves away from the enemy ship.

"Anyone who gets in our way wont be forgiven... Especially after taking so many of our crew's life!" I give the crew the signal. "Turns the prototype cannons to hostile mode!"

"Stop!" Cole shouts from behind me. Her body is soaking wet from when she fell into the sea. "Garil is still in the sea!"

"The ship is getting farther. I won't lose this opportunity." I stand my ground and don't budge. "Shoot them down!"

Cole runs to the other edge of the ship and looks over to the waters. The cannons begin to charge up and she desperately looks around. "Stop! I found them!" But it was too late. The cannons had already started charging.
I look as well and see Garil swimming while holding a body on his arms. "Bri!" I see they are dangerously close to the enemy ship and would get blown to bits if they were caught in the blast. "Stop the cannons! Garil, get out of there!"

The machine's whirring drowns out all other sounds and my voice becomes inaudible to myself until I hear it reach it's highest level and knowing what was coming next I braced myself.
