MH 101 part 2

Hello everyone. It's your favorite insecure main character, here! (Mostly because I'm the only insecure main character) And today I am here to talk to you about Soulstones. As we all know Soulstones "Magnify our willpower", but that leaves many things unanswered. Do people in this story have a mystical power inside of them? Nope, not at all. The stones magnify the actual emotion known as will and use it as fuel like a chemical reaction with the stone's unique energy signature. The stronger your willpower is the more energy the stones can give you to manipulate turning it into a power source.

Now you may ask what the stones are. They are a being of pure concentrated energy that not much is known of them. If I mention anything else I might spoil it. But they ARE living things.

Let's take Niel as an example. His stone is called Gray Mirage. In one of the recent chapters he mentions how he knows its name, but doesn't know exactly how. These Soulstones have a limited communication with their wielder that allows them to send messages to them in a sort of sixth sense. The same way you feel like someone is watching you without seeing anyone is the same way he just knows that's the stones name. More will be revealed about this, but in later chapters.

Niel's power is perception distortion. His stone is unique. A Soulstone's power is a mix between the wielder's personality and the stone's type of energy. His is a rare stone which displays a mystical mind altering power that can allow anyone within a certain radius see what he wants them to see. This obviously comes with limitations that will be explained later.

If you're reading this while screaming at the screen like "if he can make illusions, why didn't he put the hunters in an illusion so they wouldn't see him using the Soulstone?!" Good question metaphorical audience. The reason he didn't was because he is still trying to master the stone's power and making two illusions at the same time is a skill too advance for him right now.

Anyways, what else is there to know about the Soulstones? Way more! Sadly it will be revealed later.

It's time for bonus facts!

1. This story is based on a video game, but veers off of the plot, story and overall concept of it. The name is Monster hunter and the only similarity it has with this story is the weapons and the fact that they fight monsters, but not even the monster descriptions are the same (not counting Popos which are large mammoth like creatures)

2. Next up is me. My character is the author's personal character, which gathered up all his insecurities and made a character with the same problems. He himself has overcome many of them and thinks of himself as "awesome" and he's channeling that into my character.

3. The author is actually having a hard time adding any romance into the story because the female characters are based on real people (which you already know) so he is planning to add a new female character to the main group who has a real life inspiration, but won't really be her that way I can do whatever I want with that character and you can expect to see her soon. He will also be adding original character designs of the character and slowly draw more of the cast of MH

4. And for the last FACT... I am awesome. That is all. And yes! It's a fact.
