Seph's POV
The entire group of adventurers stand together scraped and bruised, panting while gripping their weapons showing that they're far from being defeated. We exchange looks and nod notifying that we're all ready. Trees a monstrous looking creature with rock armor skin. Its body has the shape of a salamander and its tail has a strange resemblance to a hammer. The body of the rock giant stretches a good ten meters making an intimidating opponent.

It lifts its tail up and whips it towards us. We all spread out evading the deadly attack. Upon retouching the ground, we lose balance as the ground shakes and splits violently. The monster lifts its tail up once more and strikes the ground again causing it to crack and us to fall within them.

"Get out! It's attacking again!" Niel commands as the rock giant's tail is raised up in the air ready to descend on us. We fight the urge to stay down and take a rest and move away as soon as the tail hammers down on the broken ground.

The monster appears to give up on bashing us and turns its rock armored head in our direction. "Mil, this monster has a thick head," Niel fixes his messy hair and darts his eyes towards him "that's your type of monster."

Mil smiles completely ignoring the clear insult. "I've wanted to try this thing out for a while now." a grin continues on his face as he drops the shield of his new gunlance and grabs the gunlance with two hands. Most of Mil's money has gone into that weapon, but the following makes it worth it: the barrel where the bullets for the gunlance are stored shoots up to the top and the blade hides in the handle forming a bulky looking war hammer. Dropping his defenses and using both hands to wield his weapons makes a hit from that type of monstrosity to be fatal.

Mil charges at it with hammer down to run faster. "Don't just look at him, help out!" Niel says as he runs to back him up calling us to follow.

The creature sees our attack coming and gets into a defensive position. "Damn! I didn't tell you about this, did I?" Niel says with a look of "oops".

"What's happening?" Grail asks Niel.

"Well..." Niel begins as the rock giant digs its head into the ground. "You're about to find out... Here's your very first test. You'll have to adapt to rapid environmental changes, good luck."

"What?! Is that all you're saying?" I shout seeing him slow down letting us go ahead. Gaze locks on our target as it begins to show a strained stance. "What's it doing?" I ask myself. It didn't wait to show its answer. The entire ground begins shaking and cracking as it begins to incline. The rock giants head appears go be lifting a giant piece of land forcing a wall to rise between us and if we don't cross it quickly, my guess is that it'll come down on us. Without hesitation I keep going up the uphill terrain as it becomes more slanted.

Kittan leaps past all of us at an incredible speed. She's used to this kind of terrain and her tail seems to give her extra balance as she makes her way to the top.

Ascending becomes difficult as the land approaches more and more to a vertical position. Dion loses stability and falls down through all we had advanced. That's when I realize why Niel fell back. With an incredible speed, Niel runs horizontally on the piece of land and picks Dion up, bridal style. Great... Now were going to have fans making Nion (Niel+Dion) ships everywhere. Please don't make that a thing...

I begin to slip on the ground that seems to extend to the sky. My chances of making seemed pretty slim as I began to slide back. Cole has difficulty going up and jumps off into the wide open air without much around for her to put her as she soars over about a hundred feet. She shoots an arrow with rope on it and the projectile works as a grappling hook as she swings upward. Grail sees this and holds on hitching a ride with Cole making their way up.
