Chapter 5

“Ring Ring” the alarm bells rang making Jieun wake up but she ignored it until it stopped but seconds later it started ringing again she pulled out her hair in frustration and got up from her bed,  taking a glance at the mirror and girl almost scream looking at her own reflection. That messy hair which was looking like it wasn't combed for a week, those puffy eyes and her pale lips. She shake her head and walk towards the washbasin.

After doing her morning routine, she made herself breakfast, she was tired of finding a new job for the past few days so today she decided to take a break,

Hence Jieun had nothing to do she thought to make a budget list cause she doesn't have enough money left. She took out her pen and notebook and placed them on the table, she take a sigh before started doing her thing.

After an hour she found herself banging her head on the table she never thought that making a budget list will be this much tiering and on top of that she never liked maths, she hates it, who wouldn't. She take a deep sigh and rested her head in her palm. She never thought she have to deal with this kind of situation where she rarely has money to feed herself, life is unpredictable. A bitter chuckle escaped from her lips. Sometime she thing that she is spoiled after all she belongs to a wealthy family. But like people say money can't buy happiness and that's why she is here far from her family to find that happiness.

She closed her notebook and decided to make herself a coffee as the weather was cold, suddenly her phone started ringing it was her friend, she quickly answered the call..

“ Jieun!!!!!! ” the girl from the other side of the phone yelled.

“ Woah! Girl what was that” Jieun softly chuckled.

“ I have to tell you something very important you won't believe it”

“ Okay, what is it?”

“ No! Not in the call I'm coming there wait for me, see ya ”

“ yeah.. ” and with that, she hung up the call.

Time Skip

“ Dingo Dong ” Jieun's doorbell rang, he got up from her sofa to see who it is, more like she already knew who it is. She opened the and see a familiar figure, a person whom she was waiting for.

“ Hayoon! ” she hugged her best friend and let her enter her dorm.

Both of them sit on the sofa and started their chit-chatting.

“ So what you wanted to tell me,” Jieun asked her friend offering her a soft smile.

“ You know how much I love art right? ” Hayoon asked Jieun. She nodded in response.

“ So 3 days ago I applied for a art competition in Japan and guess what? ”

“ You got selected ” the girl next to Jieun nodded. Jieun eyes widened with happiness as she hugged her tightly.

“ I am so proud of you ” Jieun said still hugging her best friend. “ But when you are leaving?”

Her friend pulls out from the hug, “tomorrow morning ” Hayoon's smile turned into a sad one. “ I'm going to miss you ”

“ Me too ” Jieun rubbed her friends hand and tapped her shoulder.

“ Btw what's with your book store incident? ” Hayoon's eyebrows danced playfully and a grin on her face appeared.
